Shorah folks.

I promise Mysterium 2012 news will come soon (up in our nice sticky-fied thread.. thanks mods!), but I wanted to get this out here sooner than later. We've been discussing the future of Mysterium internally, and I want to get input from the fandom on it. So please head over here, give it a read, and tell me what you think.

Thanks everypony!

Everypony? Rolling Eyes

I think the concerns about 'splitting the community' are a bit overblown.

Having Mysterium rotate through a variety of locations, would open it up to a lot of people who otherwise wouldn't be able to go.

As far as I'm concerned, I'd be willing to put in the time to help organize one of these events, as I'm not really burned out yet and am pretty enthusiastic about the idea of being part of a Mysterium event. This is coming from a guy who enjoys organizing parties and activities.

I've never actually been to a Myst fan convention before but I'd like to attend one.

I just have never been able to spare the cash to actually fly up to Spokane, or Boston, during a Mysterium event.
It has never worked out thus far.

But... my sister is moving up to Boston fairly soon so I may have more excuse to head up there... and if the iOS development stuff I'm working on takes off, it's possible I'll be in much better position to attend Mysterium next year.

Everyshroomy? Everykeanulint? Everybahro!

As a historical perspective, there's often been people who've said "I'd love to run a Mysterium", but for one reason or another aren't available when the call goes out. So that's something we need to keep in mind as we plot and plan- which scenario has the least possibility of having to scramble at the last minute?
