Hey, LC... Day of Dancing this year lines up with U.S. Labor Day, Monday, September 3. Europeans may be at work. Americans may be barbecueing. Do you think anyone would show up in the Cavern for some music and dancing?

Time for some marketing research.

We can always count on Ktahdn, thank you LC, it'd be a shame to miss out on a 'Day of Dancing' in Uru ... Smile

Besides that, Ktahdn has always been very forthcoming in the scheduling of events, and as we're speaking
of a 'Day' of dancing, everyone considering to attend will be able to find a timespan to join in the fun, not to
speak of Ktahdn's excellent catering service, which I am missing a lot in these days ... Razz

So, I'd say, let's make this something we'd like to commemorate and treasure later on ... Very Happy

Wow !!! This is an all-day entertainment service and program of events ... Razz

Many Kudos, thanks and greetings to our precious Ktahdn and to you LC ... Smile

Right now I wonder where this will all take place, maybe in different places,
but there's still a few weeks to go, so, let's wait and see who'll join the show
and entertainment ensemble for sufficient backing and support apart from Vinnie,
the RVS and the Rotties ... Very Happy

It all sounds wonderful. Only one multifaceted question. Will there be a morning bugle call made, a closing rendition of taps and some other sort of chime rung throughout the day of dancing to let the presenters know when to go on? Although many of the presentations are of the sort not to be missed, there will be times when persons need to come and go.

I did hang the schedule from the Lakewater rafters. Anyone who passes under the list is bound to see it.

Hey there, Ruby, I was actually asking myself already if all those mentioned show interludes by
the announced hosts would be pre-recorded sets to listen to and enjoy or if those hosts would
actually have a real appearance and performance ... It seems now that there'd be the chance
to have the latter occurring according to your comments ... Razz

So, I'd like to applaud and welcome all those artists and show hosts as well and thank you for
those promising prospects of having an even more exciting day and time together in the Cavern ... Very Happy

I think we can accommodate you, Ahvree. Rosa's little brother just took up the bugle, and he has a cousin who is going through a Shirley Temple phase and loves tap dancing. So, I think we'll be able to tap their skills for this production. Still waiting to hear from Jane... she may have a schedule conflict.

Whel! I guess I'd better start making scents of things...

Aunt Dolly said she would give the Kirel Baked Treats Audio Tour. She's probably been the only one in there lately - and only long enough to do the dusting. She's mentioned certain operational methods to me at times, when we've been in the kitchen making cookies. They sound like normal steam-press-fill-bake operations.

She also said the Kirel Flaky Edibles Company still won't allow anyone in who has not submitted to a full background check. Except her, she said, because no one pays any attention to the cleaning lady. I felt kind of bad so I asked if she would do this for the Day of Dancing. She lit up like a 50 watt candle and hasn't stopped talking since.

As for the Irish Dancing jig gig - I'm afraid, about that, I really couldn't say.... Could you remind me of it in about a month?

Wolff? Woolf? Woof? I think the rotties could probably handle this one, LC. It's true I have a surface event that Monday that's going to take up most of the day, but I'm sure I can link in for a spot of dancing now & again. I'm just sorry I won't be able to fulfill RVG duties. Could you please extend my apologies to Kt, for that especially but also for the lecture default? If the rotties don't want to fill in, maybe you could have a special segment for dancing in the dragon's jaw. Assuming you can find it, it's an excellent test of fear. Smile

Sigh. This is why event organizers have ulcers.

Maybe I can have Madge and Dolly do a panel discussion on wiretapping techniques to replace the Virginia Woolff segment. I'll check with them. Or maybe the rotties can sing a duet...

Well... that is ONE way to think about it.... Rotties singing a duel duet.. or a duet druel... druel...

FYI, Rita called on her KIphone this afternoon in the midst of hubub and hulabaloo -- I have no idea how she knew this was even going on from across the country and up in the mountains. I suspect Madge returning to her bot-ness and sending a signal or maybe a whole line of code. Anyway Rita would love to tell anyone and everyone her tried and true method for keeping birds off the wireless wiretapping wires when wiretapping is wireless and winged wrens cause wavering and weaving in the receiving wireless signal.

For my part, I have no idea what that means. I only know she'll repeat it if you'll let her.

Ah, that's it! I spoke with Rita, and she's willing to do a seminar with Madge and Dolly: "Advanced Wirewrap Technique for Wireless Connections." Rita is quite excited about being able to demonstrate her knowlege.

In other news... I've gotten an impression that Kt is negotiating with Peter Gabriel for a live set. Stay tuned. And Jane's suggestion is also good... tracking down the bearded folksinger is hard, though.
