Post Posted: Sun Nov 19, 2006 9:17 pm — Post subject: Spoken Word Night 25 -- THE MOVIE!

As many of you know, this week is Thanksgiving in the US. All of us have much for which to be thankful this year, not the least of which being the return of Myst Online: Uru Live.

In celebration of this, we of The Bad Boys and Girls of Uru present, nearly two months after the initial event, Spoken Word NIght 25 - Tales from the DRC -- THE MOVIE!! Yes, at long last, those who missed the live performance can see what several weeks of effort (and lots of lag) put together for your enjoyment!

There are two ways for you to get the movie. The first, and preferred way, is downloading via BitTorrent. You can get the .torrent file here, and use your favorite BitTorrent software to download it. This will be one .zip file containing the movie and all three trailers. And please remember to seed after you finish downloading!

The second way to get it is downloading via RapidShare. Due to size limitations, the file was split into two .rar archives, which you can reassemble with WinRar or similar software. Part one is here, and part two is here. When assembled, this will also contain the movie file and the three trailers.

(EDIT) You can also now watch it at Google Video! Just click here! (/EDIT)

Finally, for those of you interested in just downloading the audio of the show, but never got it before, it has been made available again! You can get it via BitTorrent here, or from RapidShare here.

We hope you enjoy the show!!

PS: If anyone is interested in hosting these files elsewhere, please feel free to let me know. Smile

And yet, it's 1 hour and 20 minutes long. Far too long to just smack up on YouTube.

GoogleVideo, however, WILL handle it. I'm uploading now, and will edit my post with the new link when it's done.

Kamuraki has been making a funny series in the game (in which I also have a voice part). Four episodes have been made so far, and you can find them on YouTube. The first one is here.

Many hands did many tasks during the production of the original SWN25 play, and not all are credited, understandably, but I wanted to mention that, in addition to other stuff, Whilyam contributed the bulk of the scripts to the excellent humorous commercials that you hear during the show (except for ROFLCop, which Vortmax wrote). Very Happy

Oh, and the song Gondar wrote was 'Bahronian Rhapsody' (with an 'N'). Wink

Other than that, I see this video as a kind of snapshot of the actual play as well as its venue, complete with all the 'Uru-isms' of lag, crashies, etc, that you'd expect. Thanks to Avaric and Vort for putting this together and to everyone else involved in the whole shebang. Brings back a lot of memories.
