I suggest once a month giving an important roll to an explorer, and giving them a script to go by if they want to be a part of it, whether it be for good or evil purposes. For those that love the IC part of Uru, it would definitely be a pleasure.

I dunno seems a bit contrived, I prefer seeing people take part in the story themselves not being asked to join.

This seems like an okay idea to me. Figure the liaisons already are like that (vaguely). Have some explorer take a role like of Phil or another Res Eng.

The problems I see with this is that Cyan has no certainty that the explorer they choose can do the job. Also an explorer may not like it if their character is hijacked and made into a bad guy or an assistant to the villain (like Sharper or Nick White).

So if Cyan could find people they could trust to not mess us the character and be sure to reveal what will happen to the character I think it would be fine. The question is: Is that more or less work/money for Cyan?

No, we are not like that. We set up meetings and share info between explorers and the DRC they don't give us scripts to read out.

Uru is supposed to be a "real life" situation as in the cavern is real we are really there. Real life doesnt have scripts it just happens when it happens, its like people calling for certain times for the DRC to appear to progress the story, it just doesnt work.

Maybe sooner than Tweek thinks. There's something in an FAQ about 'events' which reads as Cyan as the DRC. I'm not sure though as I type whether the reference was to URU Live or Prologue, so perhaps someone can find the quote? Thanks.

Theres nothing in the FAQ about it but in the features there is this;

Quote:

Discover the many in-game events done by the Uru Live developers.
Be a part of the many events set up by individuals in the community.

But that happened before and is happening now, TH's are set up by us and the DRC, other events are set up by others.

What Vorm was getting at was scripts which is more of a direct effect to the storyline.

I find this very false and don't agree with I prefer the natural flow of the story that it had last time. Brian didnt have a script he just was out there doing his thing and look where the story went with him and Sharper? Sharper had a bigger role because of that than Cyan had originally intended.
