It's possibly 9. (tree, tree, and tree.)

Using that logic, it could also be 27. (tree times tree times tree, or tree³) Laughing

I award 0 trees to the past few posters because they failed to use ridiculous words.

"En même temps" I award them a forest for having blatantly ignored the game's rules.

Indeed, botany is devoid of perspicuity when it languishes under the disguise of mathematics. I humbly request fewer instances of botanical mathematics.

What perspicacity Maratanos has displayed! Naturally (if you will pardon my paronomasia) the territories for mathematics and botany should be demarcated into disjoint sectors.

The answer was found with alacrity by Owehn.

Continuing the mathematical tree theme: Would a dancing lumberjack have logarithms?

Woe is me... The pun is horrendous. I further petition on the behalf of firm separation of mathematics and botany. It should be as inalienable as the separation of church and state!

Ummm, never mind, that isn't very inalienable.

On the subject of logarhythms, a few of my acquaintances and I spawned another mathemati-musical pun, which we used as the name for a hypothetical band: Cauchy and the Monotones!

Quixotically continuing his pursuit of botanical mathemantics, the pundit turned to pythonisms, explaining the demise of the Norwegian Blue as: polynomial, polygon. Very Happy

I think the zenith of this post is experiencing a brief respite during its diurnal activity.

I award a hundred points to Mincetro for getting the title, and subtract five hundred points from Zenguy for using 'Quixotic', since that was the word I was going to use.

It is with genuine regret that I must announce the transformation of emotion of myself, from blissful apathy to lugubrious poignancy, for we have set a distressing precedent.

The subtraction of points, heretofore reserved for annulling points awarded for an illegitimate orthographical construction, has now been unleashed upon the innocent, awaiting only the whimsical wish of those here in attendance for another to not have used a certain word.

It being hypocritical to annull points based on this, I award Zenguy 5000 points for his entire last post, as an apology that he should be treated so deficiently.

I subtract all of Marantanos's points, based on his opaque fusillade of reprimands. I consider myself to be an iconoclast, and shall eschew anybody whose cupidity for points interrupts their judgement and reasoning in seeing the logical reasoning behind my subtraction of points from Zenguy's use of the word 'quixotic' based on the fact that the same word cannot be used twice, and has therefore robbed me of my right to use words that nobody can understand.

But to show my trustworthiness, I shall award a million points to everyone in the forum as a standard of exemplary behavior.

It is a shame that you misunderstand the nature of my score. I have infinite points, this has been established. Therefore, even if you subtract all my points, I will STILL have infinite points, for such is the nature of infinity.

Therefore I, still having more points than any other personage herewithin, must become less benevolent, and more reactionary. With the warning that it is only necessary when things get truly out of hand, I use my superior standing in this game to give Calam -∞ points. Thus, given the nature of infinity, he can do nothing to raise his score to above -∞, for it has been duly noted that -∞ + ∞ = -∞, just as ∞ - ∞ = ∞.

Remember that infinity does not abide by basic rules of math.

I motion that we ban this profligate use of the numerical system (Maratanos I'm looking on your direction) and that we award points in a form that is more appropriate. BEER !!! I award myself one beer for coming up with such a clever idea.
