Actually, RAWA did say it was not closed, and I said it was. But he also said it wasn't fully open, hence ajar. We did essentially say the same thing. Whilyam is free to disagree with RAWA. Wink

If the purpose of this 'sneek peek' is to make a focused test of the mechanics of the Uru-through-GameTap interface, than it makes perfect sense that it's only available to current GameTap customers.

Since they've said that the people in non-GameTap enabled countries are going to be accessing Uru through another interface, they wouldn't be testing that during the sneek peek anyhow.

yep, when reading that GT email message here on the forums, I never thought it meant open beta, since that was not mentioned anywhere.

Just thinking that so many people thought it was open beta and that everyone would be able to get in, somehow, unless we got confirmation of the opposite.

I am in with Gametap as is my hubby. What I would like to know is during the sneak peak experience should we be mainly hanging out in the common areas to test load for lag and all that or should we also "play" the ages? If we do that will that data be preserved and uploaded into the full launch software?

According to information, all progress will be lost. You will start Uru Live with a clean slate.

I would say go through and play the game as normal. Just playing it at all will add burden to the servers and may in fact cause bugs to appear that would not unless under pressure.
