Well between Myst 4 and Myst 5 CCatherines role in the Myst saga kinda fizzled out and there is little to no mention of her in the Uru seies but will this be explained in Live???

Apparently Catherine died of old Age at some point. Apart from that, we don't have much to go on.

If you accept Myst V as part of the overall D'ni universe, we know Catherine is dead. Yeesha says that she watched her die.

In Myst 5? I thought that's why you mentioned it. That her role "fizzled out"

Of course, Myst V IS only a Myst game and may not be "real" in a Uru sense. We still have to wait until some more story is made up and Myst V's role is made official.

It took place but I think Rawa said that it wouldn't be quite as we expected. It probably means the storys acurate but the way it ties into uru is a little different.

I believe TohmanaGuy (who made the second quote) was referring to the first quote, not the statements above about her being dead in general.

I am willing to believe Katran is dead. However, I want to know when in Myst 5 Yeesha says she watched Katran die.

In game, she says she watched her mother die on the fourth imager that you find (the one underneath the great shaft)

well in myst iv she isnt there, apparently had a fight with atrus over releasing the sons. my guess is that she returned t see yeesha go on her quest, (insert myst v story here), yeesha returned, they all went to releeshahn, catherine dies, yeesha goes on her bahro-freeing journey, (insert myst v here), returns to live out her days on releeshahn with her daddy-o
