The name of the age... there is a way, but it's mildly spoily, and I'll nest this just for safety sake.

To know the name of the age, there are several routes. Both involve reading. The first is mildly difficult, as it also requires deciphering glyphs. There should be a book with drawings in it somewhere.Match the drawings to what the ages look like. The book is on your Relto's other bookshelf. This way is the easier way. It involves a device you can obtain. It fits on your hand. There are directions posted in places on where to get it.It's your KI. Open it up fully and look in the upper right.

Thanks,
I have the KI, but it there seems to be no control for it. I don't know if I missed activating it or what but it is on my left hand and the doors open in that age for me. does it work in stand alone mode?

I cracked the numbering system in Riven, although that was a long time ago and I'll have to relearn it. I've looked at the lone book on the right shelf but I guess I'll have to study it more,

Thanks for any input...

thanks for the link, it will come in handy. Can I get back to the cleft once I've gone through the tree?

Welcome, Warren Keith! Definitely check out the link above to Uru Obsession. Not only are the forum members helpful, the site has a "Library" section which contains maps, hints, walkthroughs, text of the journals and speeches, etc.

About the KI, that won't work... that's only in the on-line game. Wink

Thanks Eric, That's what I thought. I was part of the beta group (Stoned and lost, I think I was called) long ago but quit playing and just picked it up again. I remember the KI not going active until getting it in urulive.....

Can I get back to the cleft?
Any hints on the floor pattern in the large circlular room, I've seen code on the wall that shows which buttons to push and what I think is the path you have to follow, but I've not been able to get the little door to open.....

so you have seen the gallery, and pushed some buttons...

perhaps there is another path?
in all things there is a light and a dark side
remember the image in the gallery, there was a red dot on one side too.

This Age tends to be about what is not there.Expect the unexpected, or rather, do not expect the expected. How's that for vague?
