It really was just plain stupid when everyone mobbed the server and camped out in Ae'gura. The DRC really needed to be around enough so that their presence wasn't novel in itself.

I think it's obvious that Cyan didn't want it to be the way it was in Myst Online. I imagine they wanted to have the DRC roaming around and going about their business at all waking hours, letting all passers by get a glimpse of some small bit of information while doing more interesting stuff in fantastic new Ages.

Here are some "balanced, constant" elements that I feel might benefit the game:

1. More NPCs, updated frequently, with rich conversation trees.

This might be cool. Why not have mascots, like they do in amusement parks? It might be interesting to have a few ResEngs dressed up like trees. They could wander through Ae'gura, and maybe answer questions ocassionally. Maybe, they could just hang around the dock and welcome visitors. Alternatively, maybe there could be some Tree-Kiosks, where explorers could push a button & get information. I know that "Bot-technology" has been around since the very early days of the "Eliza" program. Why not have a few "Smart Kiosks" in the city?

Just a thought

great suggestion from Joey Zoonishii

I think the more dynamic things are the more we will all be able to participate and enjoy our Journey in the Cavern. Great topic.
