So... anyone who was around for MOUL after Er'cana was released knows how persistant and adamant I was about dropping the pellets in the lake. Because even if there was no immediate effect, and I had no visible proof, I BELIEVED that if we kept dropping the pellets, eventually the cavern would grow brighter. To be honest, I STILL believe it. One day we will return... and even if no one else does... I'll keep dropping the pellets. And one day, the cavern will be lit.

But until that day... until we can return to the cavern.. it's time to put that persistance somewhere else. It might be completely pointless and have no effect at all on anything, but it shall be done. As a show of patience and support, until MORE arrives, the post is deleted, or the forums are gone. Everyday. Barring the usual technical difficulties, anyway. (Internet access, Forum maintainence, Inhaled Teledahn spores and Shaft mold...)

So on this first day... I ask you all my burning question...

Is it MORE yet?

Edit: Also, I think it's hilarious and slightly symbolic that the first time I tried to post this, I got a big hairy forum error...

I propose an RSS feed.

It has updates every 15 minutes, and either says "NO MORE" in which case we keep waiting, or when the magical moment happens says "MORE"

This can be repurposed after "MORE" status, so every time a user age is added it changes to "YET MORE" until another age is added, in which case it becomes "STILL MORE". After that it alternates between the two states.

Moreso (heh) in the event that MORE is taken down the feed would become "MORE LEFT". And if instead Gametap picks it up, it becomes "MORE MORE".



It's either that or we make it a binary. Until we get MORE it reads "MORE OFF" and when we do it reads "MORE ON". That way we can go around shouting "MORE ON! MORE ON!" to people in joy

Nah, it still would have happened, but even if it HADN'T happened, calling all of the neighborhoods "Bevin" would have eventually caused society to collapse once the Guild of Cartographers found a chart revealing the D'ni names for all of the neighborhoods, and people had fights to take over the REAL Bevin, just so they wouldn't have to change their habits.

And no, I was just quoting the last pellet score that I produced.

To be honest, I'm really not sure why a few people have given up on MORE, or saying "it's the end of Uru", and tons of other things like that.

I just have to wonder why people are thinking these things and thinking it's the end, when all Cyan said is that they were putting MORE on hold. Cyan did not say anywhere that it was the end of Uru's chances of going live, nor did they ever say that they are quitting the project of MORE (which if they did, this whole website/forum would most likely shutdown since Cyan wouldn't advertise a game that isn't doing anything). As a matter of fact, if I remember correctly, I got a mod note a while ago in response to my topic about until uru, which stated; Mod note: we just talked to Chogon about this and currently there is no plan to bring back UU, *however that possibility may have to be considered. However, keep in mind that it is still under Cyan's control, and completely user driven UUs should not be discussed on this forum.

*This shows that Cyan may be considering bringing back Until Uru again for the time being. Which means we do have a shot of returning to the cavern again. And that itself may also give us a chance to rebuild again like many did in the first Until Uru. It's a chance that I'm not going to let pass by me.

I've said it many times before and I'll say it again; The day we give up hope on Uru, is the day it will truly die. *adds to signature*

and I dunno about you all, but I'm not ready to give up just yet on something I love so much.

Sorry Jamey, but your mod reply says nothing. It says that UU isn't a thought, but they're keeping options open, and as always they're keeping discussion of hacking and such off the forums.

Also to note, this forum probably won't go pop any time soon. It's the big meeting place for the community, where we can get actual bluename replies happily. Even if there was no chance of MORE any time without a publisher picking it up again, it'd probably stay around.

What "suspended" means in this context is likely more of a "We dunno, no chance for now but the future can change circumstances".
