A Community ROLL CALL - is done!
No new sign in posts is last 2 days, so I have decided to end Roll Call after 30 days.

This Roll Call was to see how many of us are still active here in Myst Online Uru Live Forum and other places waiting for Open Source.
The Roll Call went out into the Uru Community spread out in Second Life, THERE, Guilds and beyond.
It was meant to let explorers see who remains of those they knew from MOUL. Chance to be seen and seen by others.

NOTE: I will allow 3 days more for posts requesting corrections, additions (if room enough) and comments.
PM me with what you need if you will. Then I think this thread should be locked.

Uru Magic

Not abracadabra illusion magic that a magician uses to captivate people with, but real magic as in a captivating story of a civilization with worlds depicted in second to none graphics that entices players into worlds of true imagination. Uru is said to be about a place where you “U” are “R” you “U”. A world where you arrive as yourself and become immersed in ages, places of beauty and wonder that challenges your skills and abilities to problem solve through careful probing and prodding of devices long past used by those who build them or maybe not. Not, because nobody really knows all of what became of this civilization and culture. Bits and pieces can be found of it, but only enough to hypothesize as to what truly might have played out. We all know the ending will never be truely written!
I, Jahmen, one day found myself in a new world called Myst that led me over the years to other ages. Ages like Riven, Exile, Revelation and End of Ages. And along the way was the Age of Uru. It was like all the others at first. Wondrous! A place that later became populated with others. At first I was upset! Who are these other people who have invaded my private worlds of Myst Ages? I kept to myself at first. Trying to avoid the others! The trespassers, the invaders! Others that seemed to know nothing of these worlds of mine. Then it happened! I found some kindred spirits who understood and knew the ways. Others who could understand how I felt and could go to all those places I could go. We began to share places hard to reach, hard to find, near impossible to reach, secret places, our places. Then we began to teach the others, the newbies we called them. To help bring them into the light! Then New Ages arrived and we began to explore them together. What joy, what wonder. Then it happened, The Cavern shut down. The DRC hadn’t the funds to continue the restoration of the wondrous Ages we knew as Myst, as Uru. Talk of a new beginning, a new experiment. Stories of players allowed to explore on their own at their own peril. Allowed to bring new ages to us all. And so . . . . we all wait, wait once again all alone in our private ages with some new worlds some others have found. Waiting for the time when we are all once again saying Uru again, Uru!

What became of us all? What became of those explorers who had forged tight bonds with one another? Those Bevin Neighborhoods filled with explorers that once thrived and challenged one another in a spirit of fun and bragging rights. Many have scattered! Some went to other places, lesser places, places not Uru. Places created to imitate our Uru, but not Uru. A place for us to gather and remember. But they have not sustain us all though. Many have gone. Many still wait! Jahmen has decided it is time to have a ROLL CALL! A place for those of us who remain to voice "POST" out loud that we are still here, still alive and well, still waiting. But I can’t do it all alone by myself. I need help. Help from others to put out the word. To let the call go out and spread through out the Myst Worlds. Jahmen wants to know who is left, who else is waiting, hoping and supporting the efforts to bring the cavern and Ae’gura City back to life! I belong to a 3 Neighborhoods, but we all know there where many many hoods. Even the DRC hood/ bevins! I think it is time for a ROLL CALL.

Guild of Messengers - Ok I really stink at communications. But I truly believe and support what they do!

OpenUru.org - Hmmm... A future alternative place to come for those who can't handle the guild politics/ age building?

8. Multiple accounts per users are not allowed and posting with multiple accounts could result in immediate banning, especially if the accounts were created for griefing, trolling, circumventing bans or any other malicious behaviour.

I think the name of the Bevin I was member was called the WE CAN SAVE URU LIVE Bevin (or words to that effect). Its been so long (and all in our own way) we all tried so hard.
