This may seems to be strange questions from someone
who does not own an iPhone/iTouch but because I try to
help gamers on other sites, I would like to learn a little more.

1- Is the new 1.1.3 update for the iPhone a patch to be added or
does a gamer have to reinstall everything ?

2- If it is done "online", are there some connection fees related to it ?

Thank you,
Artic_Wagon.

Btw, congratulations to Dadguy who is known as the All Myst games Master Hero
at the GameBoomers site...

It replaces the exsisting app, but you don't have to uninstall the original. . . like most of the app updates, however, it didn't take me long at all to install. There is no fee, but I would definitely recommend doing it online, but it may not be necessary to do so.

Yes, I would think that the preferred thing to do would be to download the update through iTunes on your computer, then sync it... It's still a pretty huge file, I wouldn't want to be downloading it directly on the phone.

Actually, I did download the update directly to my phone, & had no problems. It didn't even take that long, though of course I did it on wi-fi not 3G, & I have a fast internet connection. (I downloaded the original app directly to the phone, too, & again, had no problems, though I know that was not recommended. Syncing the phone to iTunes afterwards actually took much longer than the initial download.)

It's probably safer to download through iTunes, but at least for me it worked the other way as well! Smile
