Do we need the Japaneese fonts to be able to see CrisGer messages ?

If so, any idea where we can upload them from ?

Thanks.

It could just be your browser isn't set to display Unicode. Find the Character Encoding options (in Firefox it's under the View menu) and play with the defaults. Refresh and see what changes.

Thanks for the feedback.

I am using IE 8 and it was already set to Unicode ( UTF- 8 ) + "set to default" but it is not working for me.

No big deal for me. I will survive. Wink

Hi simplerfi,

That pack seems to be only available for the english version of Windows XP
and will not install over my french version.

I did a search on the french Microsoft sites (Canada and France) but all the interresting links
took me back to the english download.

Thanks a lot for trying to help me.

I am curious how other Explorers cope with languages like AW and I are trying to do. I was reading somewhere about OS Win 7 Ultimate having an all language package that displays what ever language you tell it to. Nice but rather a $pendy fix though. Wink

I plod along using Babel, other Internet translators and friends but we know comical that can turn out. Laughing

This image shows part of what I see of CrisGer's post.

I have tried reformating and translating using WordPad, BlockNote and Google Translate with no success.

I still use IE7 on XP and CrisGer's japanese, though hebrew to me, visualizes ok to me.

What worries me when we get back to Cavern again is will our KI support international characters, because there is quite a difference if I type "Ala!" to silverdragonesse and she starts doing something she's not supposed to, because she thought I typed "Start (doing something" instead of "Älä" meaning "Don't!"... Laughing Laughing (Which is just as well because she never listens to me anyway)

It is the same for me too with this one post. I can see Asian style charactures on Asian websites but not this post of CrisGer's.

Wunnerful, Wunnerful! and Ah-One, Ah-Two! Razz

On a humous side; the post reminds me of 'The Lawrence Welk Show'. Laughing

"The show would open often by showing bubbles floating around and was accompanied by a sound effect of a bottle of champagne opening. Each week, Welk would introduce the theme of the show, which usually inspired joyous singing and/or patriotic fervor."
