Hi,
I'm undertaking a project which will probably take a very long time, but it all gives me experience and such so its no matter.
Anyways, the project is a mod for the game called Fallout 3, which uses the Gamembryo engine, and it will be an adaptation based around Myst (specifically Book of Ti'ana).
I'm very new to these forums, and it makes me very happy to see a lot of other Myst fans.
Anyway, does anyone have any D'ni related concepts or screenshots? By D'ni related I mean specifically their city underground on Earth, their tunneling machinery, examples of their clothing styles and uniforms, etc.
This will be a total conversion mod in which the player will play through as either a Human or a D'ni (haven't really decided which yet), so I'll be trying to (as accurately as possible) recreate this civilization so as to give the player an idea of what it might have been like before their collapse. The violence attached to FO3 gameplay will be toned down in this mod (it won't be the lynchpin anymore), and a mix of more Myst style gameplay coupled with Book of Ti'ana's engrossing storyline will offer a much more substantial experience for the player.
Explore the D'ni city as it was, unruined, meet many different people, visit the surface if you want, visit ages, do jobs for the guilds, become involved in the city's political intrigues, and whatever else I can think of and derive from the story.
So, like I said, it would be greatly appreciated and helpful if you could donate some...
1. Screenshots of the city itself.
2. Maps of the city would be really, really appreciated.
3. Concept art related to the city and D'ni culture (their apparel, machinery, weaponry, etc)
Oh, and does anyone know if Cyan has released any comprehensive documents on D'ni language? I've read a few very good sources online, but more often than not I'm unable to devise any D'ni script due to a lack of necessary words.
Hopefully this mod will do well in the FO3 modding community, and maybe even draw converts over to tasteful gaming.
Thanks for reading!
