ppl had worked hard to organize again one of our wonderful tradditions, the annual (when the Cavern is open) St Patrick Days Parade, ...ys it is a bit later than in the Surface world but that happens and is often due to the need to make it a time when the most people can come, both in the US and the wider World.

It's that time of year again, explorers! The in-cavern traditional Saint Patrick's Day Parade and party for this Sunday. Here are the details:

Sunday, March 21st, all times cavern time:

11:00am German NULP Bevin, contact Menolly KI:144188;
11:30am(ish) The Meeting Place Bevin, contact ilford KI:316832;
12:00pm(ish) GameBoomers Bevin, contact lor KI:122428.

Timings rely on how the previous march progresses.

We have invited some Cyanists including RAWA, Chogon, and Rand Miller but let me extend this invitation to all Cyan employees past and present. No promises though, folks, they are busy people. But thanks for the hats, Cyan!

If you wish to march or just spectate please contact the above noted Bevin representatives and let them know in advance in case we need to close the hoods for marching. It would also be a good idea to download and install TeamSpeak3. We will be broadcasting on TS3 {server name removed}.

So let's get the green out, explorers! And thanks to SuperGram for her efforts in previous years gifting us with this terrific event.

Everyone is more than welcome to march with any of the above hoods, just contact a rep via KI to register. PMs are being sent out to Cyan, hopefully Rand will agree to be our Grand Master once again, and other cyanists to make up the guard of honour.

Green hats are available in all Relto Wardrobes as is customary for the seasonal events....so grab yours and wear something green and come to the fun....




spectators line up around the hood, but please keep the link area clear as much as possible, the route runs in each hood from the area by the door to the bookroom by the waterfall, up to the Community room thru it, down to the main plaza and down to the water garden, and from there back, you will see the route or be given directions....join the marchers or watch and take KI pics and Kabitz as we always do

It is great to see things continuing as they have in past years. and now we hope for years to come.


and Teamspeak, a free download is usually used for music so there will be parade and irish music to listen to ....

Welcome the rebirth of MOUL and the Irish in us all. Supergram has for years been the spirit of inspiriation for this event and it is great to see it continuing with the new rebirth of the Cavern.

I don't quite understand this, having never been present for one of these before.

Do I understand correctly that if I just want to watch, I need to PM each of the Hood owners so I can get in? And what does Cavern Time correspond to? I'm on Central here.

This sounds like a lot of fun and I'd love to attend... Don't know if my real life schedule today will allow it, though. I won't know until I figure out what time it's happening at!

No, you must not write PM.
Go to the Nexus and search for the Hood which will perform a parade.
At the time, I can unfortunately not help. Here in Germany is 11 Cavern time 7pm.
We will, however, the Hoods have to parade during the stage on private, otherwise we will not run in from the spot.

Hm, I seem to remember Cavern Time is MST... If that's the case, looks like I'll miss the parade.

Wasn't the cavern MST until after the time change (it doesn't change) so now it's something else? Pacific time? (I always get this confused...)

KI time hasn't been updated for Daylight Savings. You can think of it as PDT or MST.

At the moment Cavern Time has not been adjusted to daylight savings and corresponds now with US Pacific time.
Conversions to other timezones for Cavern (KI) Time 11:00, Sunday March 21.

It's recommended to arrive early at one of the hoods (>30 min. before start), so you can get access, get in line/spot and enjoy the buzz

Teamspeak is a lightweight communication tool and works on every platform. Pick your version here:

After instalment, open the TS3 client, and:
- choose from menu Connections > Connect
- change Address to {server name removed}
- leave the Port as it is
- fill in Nickname
- leave Password blank
- click Connect and choose a channel under St. Patricks Day Parade 2010

I didn't use the TeamSpeak, but just went to the German NULPs Bevin and later to the Gameboomer's Bevin and enjoyed the parade. Thank you to the organizers. Great job!
