This is a topic to discuss any new additions/plans for the Kirel fairs. General consensus in the other topic was that a once-a-month setup would be ideal.

Please make a vote for your preference of week to hold the fair. The raindate/pushback date will always be the weekend afterwards.

So, in this respect, if anyone has any ideas for what should be held in future, please post them here with reasoning so it can be properly discussed.

An idea that was already put up was to re-introduce the All Guilds Meeting on one of the days, as a way for the Guilds to get together and discuss their future jobs, duties and plans.

First weekend is easiest to keep track of.

And why do we need Raindates? I didn't know it rained inside the cavern.

Our first Guild Fair was aimed at the weekend BEFORE this past one.

Raindate is just a general term in case of Server Failure (as was the case with the Auth Server on Saturday of the original date), we push back an extra week.

The monthly Guild meetings during the GT days worked well and were quite useful (or at the very least they were enjoyable Razz ). We should definitely have those again.

Numerous people I spoke to, and I, feel that major holidays (particularly those celebrated internationally) should be avoided. For example, this first event was postponed onto Easter weekend, and while I think the event was a success, I am confident it would have been a far greater success if this particular weekend had been avoided.

So, I request an exception that "any time the event would fall on a significant holiday, it will be delayed to the next weekend." And the exception would apply either for the normal weekend or the "rain delay" weekend.

This I can agree to. I was intending on being at the Fair on Sunday, but due to Easter (and my family, bless their annoying nature) I was unable to.

This sounds like a fair way to move the date as well. Even so, I can't forsee too many holidays resting on the first weekend of a month (except for a handful, where, again, we can push back to the next week as you advised).

I saw only good replies about the idea of re-introducing the All Guilds Meeting during the Kirel Fairs, so I thought I would make a poll to see what would be the best day/time to have it: http://whenisgood.net/pic27e (no registration required, just select your hours Smile )

Unfortunately WhenIsGood doesn't allow public viewing of the Poll results without giving to everyone editing access to the poll, so I'll update you from time to time on the results.
If you want to have direct access to the poll results PM me and I'll give you instructions. Very Happy

until now we have had just 3 votes on the poll and it seems the best Day and hours to hold the All Guilds Meeting would be on Saturday around 13.00, which I suspect was also the hour and day of the original event

BUMP Very Happy

It seems we have reached the first weekend of the month, this weekend will already be May Cool So, it is time to have the Kirel Guilds and Groups Fair! Very Happy
Last time it went quite well and I hope this time will be even better since there is no holiday Smile

I would try to have the All Guilds Meeting too, althought there wasn't much interest in voting on the Hours Poll. I think it would be an good time to listen to what's going on in the various guilds and maybe create inter guild projects and collaborate.
I would go for Saturday, at 13.00 KITime in the Kirel Community room
IIRC the old Meeting was held at the same hour and day, so it hopefully won't be too bad for Europeans and Americans to attend.

Well put, mate. I think we definitely should have a second Guild Fair hosted.

However, I'm going to be out of town (Boston, actually) for the entirety of the weekend. I wish I could do more to help, but this one is going to be up to you guys =/

All times are GMT
