I'm guessing.....

somehow we have to click on the corners to make the light grow bigger ? ( It seems to reference differently depending on edges

Now I gotta go test it...Bother !... I'm hooked

And he would have been, I suspect, given the original 5110.jpg Red(?) Star link (which Whilyam deleted in Photobucket, and gracefully replaced (updated) with a "Working" 5110-1.png Blue(?) Star link). Colors are per my perception..I saved both when first found.

For me, the Red Star was centered , the Blue star is 3/4 up approx
Unfortunately I am still echoing kaelisebonra's quote.. but willing to lay some modestly intuitive speculation here...

We are in a cave system, and have to find our way out, with aid of one small light; which might be made brighter somhow. If Avies are perceiving different colors, perhaps we have to share copies and superimpose colors to get a WHITE light (?)..Dunno ..yet..but I'm posting this perception for other Avies' optional consideration. If color is important (ref Technobubba), it's also possible that the colors may vary thruout some Day/Night cycle, too...(D'ni clock comes to mind) ..so I gotta check that next. If I had the skills to disassemble the png(s?), I might be able to figure it out too easily, so its quite possible that the actual solution inhibits that approach....Mebbe.. Garternay used 1 pixel for a Luminesce link, I recall, too; but that highlighted when you found it
This is offered as an option to ddb174's perfectly good suggestion..IMHO..but not sure if they might relate, or not...

And I havn't resorted to 3D specs.. yet.. But it's coming..
