Know the game Riven and it's glorious musical and sound wonders? Think you know the sound effects well enough to recognize them by ear? Well test your skills at the 1st Riven Sound Effects Game Show! [See latest post for date info] come on down to the Eastern Time Zone Bevin for fun and games and to hear a little bit of the masterpeice that was Riven.

We'll be looking for three contestants to give this a shot. The game will be run similar to the show Jeopardy. Let me know if you're interested.

As a note, due to the unreliability of in game Voice Chat, we are going to be playing the sounds over Teamspeak 3. Details about configuring that can be found here.

Heh, I was wondering when you'd run into this Razz

So yay, we have a contestant! We still need two more, or at least one more to make this work.

Also, if you want to test the Teamspeak server, I have been trying to keep it up during the afternoons (Eastern) usually from about 3/4PM to about 9 PM. Please test it during these times to make sure it works because sometimes people cannot connect. If I have to I plan to rent a server for it, but that's a last resort.

EDIT: Also, if anybody plans on tuning in, can you please let me know? I'm thinking about whether to go for the renting option because of possible unreliability with my connection while hosting people in Teamspeak, running MOUL, sending the sounds, etc.

Actually, you'll probably be a nice competitor for Age. A few months back we were playing around in Kirel with this and Age was listing off any sound that I played so...

This is a great idea tanshin. I look forward to this. I just need to make sure its at a time of day where I can commit to it. Anyway I love the idea of a game show though. I think it would be cool if we did more activities like this in cavern.

To the contestants, at some point we need to make sure you can connect to the audio server, and if we can meet at the same time then we can hopefully go over how the game will work in depth.

We're also working out an Audience Participation portion to the game. Right now it will probably be PM an answer to me and it will go to a chat log. After the game I will review who has the most right (answers must be submitted before a contestant answers) and then you can get bragging rights! I don't have enough money for physical prizes sadly, but in the future it's always possible!

Okay so, there's a strong chance that I will not actually be around tomorrow. I forgot that I have to be taking a trip up to Kosinski Farms in Massachusetts, and most likely be gone during the time that I was considering this. I also feel that this time is rather inconvenient.

I've opened up a Doodle time table for next week dating from the 21st to the 27th. Choose as many options as you see fit.

KI time is EST minus 2 hours, right?

That is correct, KI time is -2 hours from EST.
