I like all of them, really, but if I had to choose one, it would be Jack.
Mostly because I love live orchestras. Not much of a fan of MIDI music. Again, I don't hate MIDI, but if I made a Myst game soundtrack, it would be 70% orchestra and 30% MIDI. MIDI is good for those moments when you need an alien sound, something you can't achieve with real instruments- and we all know Myst games have these moments.
Robyn work on Myst was very nice...a little more background music would be nice, but the different themes for each age were fitting and came in the right places.
Riven is a different story. The theme was nice, but it was too subtle. Also, it's barely heared in the game, I wish we could hear more of it. Also, Tay and 233rd age had the same theme as Riven, for some reason. I think they should have had different themes.
Another problem is no orchesta.
Jack work on Exile and Revelation was awesome...each age has it's own theme, the use of orchestra is wonderful...although at times it was too much orchestral, too less alien MIDI sound, too much needlessly epic. Also, the music could be a bit more subtle.
Tim did a great job with Uru. Again, no orchesta is a problem, but the use of MIDI, like Robyn did, was very good. At many places the music came right at right place, but sometimes it repeated too much and too soon (K'veer theme).
