Is there a guide available to learn how to read the numbers on the door at Eder Tosgal and Delin?

Guild of Greeters has one. But instead of going straight to a guide, why not find a few people to experiment with. Have some people around to help and observe what certain things do and any patterns.

That's how I learned it.

PS: Mods should probably move this to the spoilers area

Done. And BTW: It's OK to use the "Report" button( ) to suggest things like moving threads Wink

You can always invent your own numbering scheme, there is no need to use the same as everyone (well nearly everyone, since I know a player who uses a different scheme Smile ). For opening the doors it doesn't matter which numbers you assign to the symbols, or maybe something totally different.

Yeah... I always use that for spam reports myself... I think of report as a report report Razz

(Could I say report any more in one sentence?)

But yeah, you don't need the same numbering scheme. When I first did it, I just numbered by the order in which I asked somebody to press a cloth (one person was insistent that his cloth was different than what I gave him since he apparently didn't realize I used a different system). I use the common system now out of ease of use though.

Heck, you don't even need numbers... you could use letters, words, anything!

Good luck finding those that are willing to help as they are either asleep or busy with someone or something else...

Well if you happen to be on when I'm usually on, try and find the D'ni Museum of Art on the hood list. We've always got several people who are always willing to lend a hand in exploration Smile

Don be so negative, Charura, putting newcomers off. Grr it's this type of pessimism that really puts people off...

Anyway back on topic, you'll almost always find people in the city wanting to do a door run, me included Smile I love calling and running, and I really love helping newbies find their feet! You can only really learn by watching someone and listening to what they say. No guides here will help you truly *know* what you're doing Very Happy

Welcome to the cavern, hook me up for any door runs, I never sleep Wink
