one thing, if i mess up and walk on lit area, how do i start over, everything around me is dark and darkness seems to follow me and i have backed up all the way around and don't see the dark path, if i can't see it, how can i do it???

Yeah, the only annoying thing about this puzzle is the camera angle. Just switch to a walk, angle it as best u can. go VERY slowly.

Major spoiler: Ok so you turn the lights off simply by touching the same buttons you already touched. While running down the ramp, labeling them from closest to farthest, only push buttons 2, 3, and 5. Once those are pressed, follow the unlit path to the CENTER of the room. And this puzzle is quite picky about touching the light. You have to make sure that you don't even come dangerouly close to the light, which is hard at that camera angle, but after a few frusterating tries, you'll make it. also make sure you are following the correct path. And don't wrry about messing up while walking on the lit path. simply go back to the darkness surrounding the major part of the puzzle and restart the walk.

this is ridiculous and frustrating, i cant do it and you can't tell me how to do it, why would they put such a thing in a game. There is no dark path, i wear glasses with bifocals, i can see rays of light but i can't tell if they are close or far. It's a shame you can't do something so i can get passed this point, guess i will have to skip this part and ruin the whole game for me

as the other solutions to the Kadish secrets you can find in the gallery
I just had a look into the Guild of Greeter's Kadish walkthrough and found the
correct path quite nicely and clear depicted there... Please have a look here...

Don't get frustrated, Figger. Kadish Tolesa is known as a tough age, and it's puzzles all use the same concept. If you take time to learn it- you will see how great the puzzles are. And you will have easier time solving it.

this is insane, driving me crazy, there should be a noise or something telling me i messed up, i might as well close me eyes when i do it because i will never know if i did it right or wrong, i looked at the diagrams and noticed circles on the floor and used them to do it, didn't work, nothing works. The diagram shows a definite dark path, why cant i see it? I have spent 3 hours on this and spent at least 6 hours on the scopes, so now you should know how i feel. If someone came to help me, how would they get here, i have never seen anyone in any of the quests i have done

if you can find someone to help you you will have to invite that person to your age. You can find how in the illustrated KI guide on the Guild of Greeters website. If you go to the cavern and ask for help there will usually be someone to help you out.

i have no idea where the cavern is, i made sure and turned off all the buttons, really hard to see the change on button 5, then i touched 2, 3, and 5 again and i don't see a dark path like in the link on guild of greeters, if i saw it, i could probably do it, maybe they changed it, maybe it isn't 2,3,and 5 now, maybe it is random, because i definitely dont see a dark path like on the link

It's not random, It would take some massive redesigning, just this one puzzle affects a good near half of the game. Kadesh Itself affects over half. Game is quite delicate

Perhaps you're counting the buttons backwards? Numbering starts from the upper portion of the path (where you enter the room), not from the floor.

I wondered when he said button 5 didn't make much of a difference, that should be the defining line. Ok here we go, try this. First turn all of the lights off, now go to the top of the room, go to where you enter the room from the first puzzle, not the floor, top of the ramp. Got that? ok so now, start to run down the path, as you pass the buttons, don't press the first one, keep running, when you run by the 2nd button, press it, when you run by the 3rd button, press it. Now you have pressed 2 buttons, and are standing in the 3rd small balcony looking thing, run down the ramp some more, dont press the next button you pass, keep running, now press the last button. This is the 2,3, and 5 combo. You should see the path to the center of the room.

If this doesn't work, send me a message with yor KI numer (the KI guide at Guild of Greeters will shoe you where the KI number is located), I've got some technical issues right now, so I wont be able to help you right away, but mabye it will make sense if you actually watch someone do it.

And hey, don't get too upset when something isn't working. It's part of figuring out URU. Just learn as you go and try to have fun!
