I'd find the following sorts of stats interesting:
  • Total accounts
  • Total avatars
  • Total accounts with at least one avatar (your "active" account)
  • Frequency distribution of avatars per account (probably bimodal - interesting to see how many "avid" accounts there are)
  • Frequency distribution of accounts with avatar progress of X1, X2, etc. (again, probably bimodal). This would be a way to gauge how many people actually play the game (progress > 0), how many people play a little and then quit (0 < progress < 1 or 2 Relto rings), and how many people play the game almost all the way (progress >= All rings except the Eder ones, which I sheepishly admit I do not have).
  • Frequency distribution of average time (days) between logins by account, where days would be rounded to an integer value, with an end point of "X days or more" which would account for people who logged in once and then never again (not sure you can extract this from the vault, but it would be an interesting insight into how people play the game).
I wouldn't worry so much about what to call them, as long as you define them up top rather than at the bottom.

OK...well Total Avatars and Total Accounts is already up there (although currently only updated weekly to coincide with RAWA's numbers).

Avatars per account is surprisingly boring. I had that one made already but the graph looked horrible. I'll figure out a way to make it nice Smile

Progress I'll do as a series of reports more than likely.

Logins is hard. But that is absolutely on my radar. Don't expect that info for a while.

Hey, OHB, I know what statistic I want!
How many copies of each specific age, if possible (e.g. ##### Kadish Tolesas, ##### Ae'guras, etc.)

I really need to create a thread for suggestions lol. But those stats are coming soon too. You'll be surprised by the numbers...I know I was.

Nah it was to talk about the current lake health.

But the real question remains.....

Why should I continue to cook pellets?

At this point it is part of my log on chores, along with feeding the flappers, and waving at Shroomie, where at least I get to see Shroomie. The pellets need to pay off somehow, soon.

I thought we'd already established that they have been having some effect - albeit almost imperceptible:

Bolding effect is mine. source link

That effect is so subtle it hardly counts. It's like a 10% brightness increase on one backdrop in one place (I don't remember the exact numbers)

...and while we're all on the wagon here together, in the words of the author, this also "bears repeating:"

I know I'm repeating myself from previous posts on this subject, but it bears repeating that this is definitely a "the journey is the reward" type of project. If that isn't your cup of tea, I'm definitely ok with that. Do something else that you enjoy more. Please.

However, if you want to contribute to a long-term, group effort project, keep it up, you're doing great! :)

Emphasis mine.

Well, Now I'm confused. Not about what is happe3ning in the cave, but rather by my reaction to it.

To me it appears that the lake health is great, and there is more light in the cave, and I can notice it.

Now I wonder whether I actually like it? No longer do I need to dim the lights around my PC, I do not have to shift my head to get the best view I can off my LCD. I can generally see what is going on out there. And I'm not so sure it adds to the experience.

In fact, for me, it may diminish the MYSTery. Crying or Very sad

So, I find myself in conflict............

Just so you know, even though the current lake score is now as high as...

167575205
the lake light state...

has dropped from 3 to 2. Sad
So we need to keep those pellets coming if we want to reach the state where the algae can take care of themselves.

My guess is that this may happen once we reach state 4 (which is the highest state). Sadly we never got that far this time around. Of course only RAWA really knows...

From the vault. Where else? Laughing

The total lake score is updated as soon as you drop your pellet. However, RAWA already stated that the total does not mean much. And we can now see proof of that in the decreasing lake light state. It is more important to keep a steady flow of good quality pellets coming.

The purpose of the KI points is to determine the quality of the pellets you drop. And to show off of course. Wink Whether you keep the points in your KI or donate them to an imager does not make any difference to the lake anymore.

Current lake score:

179228478

Lake light level:

Still 2. Sad Can we get it back to 3?

I guess we need to know what the difference is..good versus bad?

My pellets are batched using a recipe that develops in about 2 hours and yields around 972 points per pellet on average.
