I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in another thread, but I would like to see a save button, especially in the wardrobe.

I think it would be nice to click on a save button, then have a thing pop up and say "Are you sure you want to overwrite this file?" or something similar, and then have it save. I think it would help with the current wardrobe bug and any other wardrobe bugs if we could force the server to save our progress.

I want the automatic save still there too. In case of crashes (Desktop Age, yay!) and other errors.

I guess, in summary, my suggestion is to have two save functions, one that automatically saves, and another that can force a save to happen.

It doesn't have to be everywhere, just have the force-save button only in the wardrobe and after you upload markers into the Great Zero would make me happy.

By the way, I don't know very much about technical things, so I have no idea if what I suggested is even possible. Confused

Saving games at varying states isn't something that's possible in a persistent online world. Unlike single-player games (like End of Ages), online multiplayer games like Uru save your avatar's state as you go, recording your progress and anything you've done as though it were being done in real life... while I do agree that saving a few preset outfits in the wardrobe would be great and certainly doable, saved games using a single-player model simply aren't possible when attempting to maintain a persistent online world where what you do affects the game itself for more than just you.

The server does already save everything, and glitches like those in the wardrobe that are being experienced in the D'mala shard in UU are more likely a result of vault corruption than the server simply forgetting to save something... instead, the server is saving the wrong something, or loading the wrong data from the vault, and I'm pretty sure Cyan's working on getting this worked out for Live.

Though, something like a save this outfit button might be nice.
