Awesome rendition of Atrus. A lot of people fail to realize how "steampunk" D'ni is in a subtle way. You've captured that perfectly. I'm reminded of the animated movie Treasure Planet for some reason. I also love the smoke coming from the linking panel. The idea of the panel being more than just a flat image and actually being more of a tangible gateway is difficult to convey in a still image. Bravo

I've always liked to think of Treasure Planet as based partially on the book, and partially on Myst. Smile

Hey that ain't bad! trippy Smile and very Myst-esque surreal. although i would have applied the effect solely to the book and not the image of atrus. is the background affected as well?

I don't have 3D glasses to check but it appears that it is.

With 3D glasses it looks like the background is affected. Looks good from my position.

Nice job, thank you...

The upper cloud is slightly affected but it looks mostly like his body and the book are separate from the clouds. BTW, get some 3D glasses. Smile There's actually some sites online that sell them for free after shipping. (the paper ones, although the $10 ones are much better)

I kept the 3D glasses that I wore when I went to see Tron: Legacy, but I cannot see 3D. the only thing 3D glasses help me with is to see the film normally Rolling Eyes

You need this kind to see it. Anaglyph 3D glasses.

The only ones I have laying around are the RealD glasses which are useless outside of a theater with the proper equipment.

How did you manage to produce that effect so fast?

Secrets... Very Happy I actually used a free anaglyph program for that particular one but I've managed to make some convincing ones in Photoshop. You normally have to have two images from two slightly diffrent vantage points but because this one from one vantage point you have to use two of the same image then just shift it enough to be like it was from two vantage points. A very simple task. Ten minutes tops. Smile
