What I really want to see, but can't, is "/mood x". The reason I can't is because the way I envision it is it's a general override that applies to your character's facial expressions and posture when you're not doing other emotes. I can't imagine the system allowing an emote that operates that fluidly. However, the point is something to keep your avatar from standing there with the same blank neutral expression no matter the situations.
Seriously.. /mood sad would make your avatar look more morose, frowning and looking downward, shoulders slumping, possibly even changing the walk style (not running, likely, but walking at least). Your talking animation wouldn't be so vibrant, with less random arm flailing and a hint of the same sad posture and expression as they open mouth randomly.
Or if it's a great day, /mood happy would let you look enthused and cheerful, adding a spring to your avatar's step and showing that grin all over the cavern at a glance. You'd be more vibrant now when talking, arms about and cheerfully opening and closing your mouth as you talk.

Sadly, I know that can't really happen (although it'd possibly require real-time swapping the default walk, talk, and idle animations with a set pulled up from the mood set and making sure all other clients are aware of that swap).

Well, then at least I want a good /objection so I can throw out my arm, finger extended, and dramatically SHOUT with a determined expression, along with "Gondar shouts his OBJECTION!" in the chat. Mostly because otherwise your avatar just keeps the same bored neutral expression on their face when they point lazily. Confused

I would like to see:
/armchear - The thing where you bend your elbow and move you arm down twice(it's hard to explain)
/rock, /paper/ /sierse- would be cool
and while where on the topic, new talking animations where you don't move your arms or hands.

Oooh.. somewhat old thread, but here are some ideas:

/Toastbig

motion: A glass appears in the avatar's hand as he raises it in a toast, then drinks from it.

text: "(Explorer) would like to make a toast."

which goes right along with...

/toastsmall

action: essentially the same motion; but it's meant as a response to the big toast.

text: "(Explorer) raises a glass."

The idea being somebody does the toast-big move, and explains who or what they are toasting... and everyone else can do the toast-small response.

You could also have a less formal /cheers or another toast variation, with the same motion, and the text: "(Explorer) drinks to that!"

/scold

The avatar shakes a finger in scolding fashion

"(Explorer) is very disappointed."

/coolpoint

the avatar does a laid-back fingerpoint with a smug head-motion

"(Explorer) thinks you're cool." or
"(Explorer) is impressed!"

/soso or /meh

The avatar does a 'meh' so-so motion with his hand

"(Explorer) says, 'Meh...'. " or "(explorer) says, 'Ehhh...'."

Yes, and boy is it awesome! Very Happy Although it's far different than /cartwheel emote would be; and I'm not entirely sure a cartwheel emote is possible since it would require the avatar to move outside the normal stationary position. I may be wrong though. Smile

Well... coming from me, a guy with NOT a lot of tech knowledge, here.... I know we can walk while doing the 'speaking' emote at the same time. It could be possible to allow us to walk while doing a cartwheel... we could then 'strafe' to one side while doing it.

Then we just have "/cartwheel left" or "/cartwheel right" as options.

Even so... A stationary cartwheel still wouldn't look TOO strange. Confused

Edit to add...

Actually.. what this just made me think of is.. sometimes we'll do the 'talking' emote while turning side-to-side, as a way of doing a slower dance, when a slower song is playing on someone's stream, etc..

a "/slowdance" emote might be neat!
