Tonight as I was trying to help a German speaking explorer, I tried BabbleBot. Started properly and typed and got a pop-up "error translating" message. I was "connected" and "Windowed", started them in the correct order, had chosen English as my language and German from the pull down menu for what I was translating to.

Anyone know what the problem may be?

Cheers,

Dadguy

as far as I know OHB never updated babelbot to work with the new Google translation service, but I'm not sure.

Yes, he still hasn't ported Microsoft's translation service to BabelBot. Google wants money to use their API, while Microsoft doesn't. Maybe if you ask him nicely?

Yeah, because what I do right now is translate something via babelfish, then cut/paste it into URU via babelbot. Not an elegant solution... It is a bit time consuming for "complex" ideas.. But, it gets the job done, and the explorer/end user is none-the-wiser.

Any time OHB could devote, I would be most thankful!!!
