A few notes this time:
1. The GoW wiki has not yet been updated accordingly. I might bring myself to do it in a few days' time.
2. The Writers just introduced some pretty major changes today. The important point is that for clients, you will not only need UruLauncher.exe and UruExplorer.exe (or plClient.exe and plUruLauncher.exe for Internal clients), but also need plCrashHandler.exe (Internal) and UruCrashHandler.exe (External), which now handle crashes (replacing stack dumps) for your clients. These need to be distributed with your client.

Sorry I missed this one... I had intended to come but (silly me) went brain dead on remembering the time conversion being preoccupied with upgrading my linux systems. I had planned to pick your brain since I managed to destroy my linux build environment upgrading to Ubuntu 12.04.

Back to doing a complete clean install and searching for the magic formula to get my devel shard going again.

It was interesting, we talked about using the internal client to do the sort of things Gray Hats do. Lyrostior will be putting up a chat log soon and some scripts on his website.

Sounds great! I will definitely check it out.

I did manage to recover my test shard but I needed to do a complete clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 and then rebuild the entire server and DB. I'm not sure what the problem was but I would recommend dumping your DB to a backup and do a clean install rather than upgrading. Too many things were broken in the upgrade. I now have mucho sympathy for Cyan when they have problems that need fixing.

Additionally, if you're interesting in Fun House magic, I have made publicly available a few scripts for basic things (not much to be seen; most of the code is rather low-level stuff and pretty basic).

DISCLAIMER: if you choose to make use of these scripts on MO:ULa, make sure you use them ONLY in the Fun House or your private instances. It is forbidden to make these effects appear anywhere else.

Instructions of use:
1. Unzip to C:\UruScripts\ (for example).
2. Start an Internal client ready for MO:ULa.
3. Type "`" or "~" or whatever the correct key for your keyboard is to bring up the Plasma console.
