I was wondering. Has anyone ever looked into creating a KI Chat device for android? or iOS? It seems that we have the technology to be able to do this. I use my Transformer Prime to do a lot while I am IC, because I play full screen. A dedicated program for chats would be cool.

Any thoughts?

Yes, but I meant something that will link our KIs together on a separate device. Not everyone has Skype on their phone.

That's a complex task indeed. I believe there once was a system to interface the KI and IRC, but I think it was only for the old Uru. And that's for a PC. Porting to Android would require additional work. I don't believe any such program exists.

Hmm... I know someone who is working on something to access chat from outside MO:ULa... I don't think there has been much progress on that front, though.

But really, if you want to do KI chat, you should probably just be in cavern.

But what if someone has one screen and needs some help from a friend who is out of the cavern? They have to quit or minimize out to contact someone out of the cavern. whatever the case is, I was wondering if it could happen, not whether it SHOULD happen.

All other theories that other programs will work are great, but have nothing at all to do with the question.

How Many Times Does A Myst Player Play Myst Before A Myst Player Decides To Play Myst Again

I think an external Ki chat program would be useful, especially for Android/iPhone, so people can find out what's happening from they buddies in Cavern when not in a position to enter the cavern. Although it's arguable these forms can be used for this it is still not as "live" as chating with someone in cavern. It also would be useful if the app could be used to send pictures to the device.

I don't know about chat...But being able to send someone a ki-mail OOC would be nice....
