LOL, I love to see all the negotiations in this thread between all my friends. Wink Great to see. Cier, I truly hope you get high-speed access soon! It's an awful proposition I know, to not even "HAVE" the choice to have it or not. The same thing for my friend in far west Ottawa. He just "doesn't" have that choice. It sux in a word.

Whatever the outcome, I do hope, that if necessary, a group could form to volunteer burn CD's for people, and do mailing out of them. That's pie-in-the-sky dreaming, isn't it, but well, call me an optimist. I want as many to enjoy this game as possible. If I can help, I'll offer. Smile

Anybody hear from WorrenW in the last month? His birthday was the day after mine, on June 6th and he's 76. An email got returned that his mailbox was inactive. Sad

Toria, it was done before because of Gigex. (To D'ni). I think that a Guild of (CD) Burners was created at the time.

Hi, this is my first post here. *wave*

I don't mind purchasing URU again. I would prefer to buy a boxed version than a download. Boxed versions come with manuals, etc, and some with extra material (I doubt UL will have that stuff though).

Subscriptions do bother me though. Five years ago I was fine with subscriptions. These days, I tend to play a lot of different games, more and more of which are going online. I tend to play online games on and off, I'm not one of these people who dedicate the best part of a year playing a single game. I may play for 1 or 2 days a week over the period of a couple of months, or 7 days a week over a couple of weeks.

Subscriptions tend to add up when playing all these different games, and so I cancel my sub if I think I'm not going to play enough to warrant another monthly fee. Even if I still like the game.

I would much prefer a 'pay per play' model. It would suit my play style really well if all games charged per hour online. Also, provide the option of a monthly sub. That way, you can take out a sub when your into the game, and then, rather than cancelling your sub you could just switch to 'pay per play' and hop on every week to say hello and see if there's anything new.
