anyone know about windows XP networking. I have 4 computers and I'm having a time trying to figure out why I can't access a shared printer on my wireless computer. The wired one doesnt have a parallel port.

basicly I have 4 comps and one has a wireless card on winxp(only card I had laying around Rolling Eyes ) one of the others is winxp and doesnt have a parallel port.(main comp) The other 2 are linux and from what I've read it can be a pain to get printing up and running alone. then you have to get the printer shared which can be time consuming.

was just looking for ideas. I've google lots, but it seems everytime I put in wireless in the search field all I get is setting up a wireless network Sad

If you feel like spending a small amount of cash (around £5 - £10), there are cables that can convert a Parallel Printer Interface to a USB one.

And a PC with out a Parallel Interface, Your Just Crazy Very Happy

Thanks for the links and such. I got it fixed either way. For some reason my wireless was set to static IP and wouldn't connect to the internet. I changed it and bam its fine.

The reason I don't have a parallel port is because I have this MB

I read all the reviews and most said that the board was good. I personally didn't have any problems. well with the exceptions of the dual raid controllers. once I figured that out it has been smooth.
