Make the Pub live again. I'm serious with this. I'm sure there will be things like this already in in Uru live but i'd really like somewhere for people to meet and relax after a hard days exploring. For example some silly games like Snooker, and darts and maybe cards. Score could be kept and Tournements could be held. I don't know how practical it would be to code but its just a suggesetion.

Selling drinks maybe out of the question but some sort of sharing may be possible. Especially with an inventory. People could disscus sercrets they've disscoverd and point people in certain directions.

What are peoples thoughts on this?

I think it would be nice if the Pub was used as a sort of meeting place, for when you want to chat a little bit before or after exploring.

I'm torn. I'd love to see the Kahlo Pub on Ae'gura be restored, but I REALLY want to sit around the Great Tree Pub/Watcher's Sanctuary with a big group of people too. It was nice and bright, a nice change from the darkness of Ae'gura.

Yes.
One of the issues in the previous version of Uru was the lack of stuff to do - in particular the lack of stuff to do with other people. If you aren't fighting monsters or level grinding, then I think that you need a way to keep people engaged. They may have solved all the puzzles or just not want to do a logic puzzle at this time. You also need a way to get people to interact with each other, other than talking. I think all kinds of little games, little pastimes are a great ideas. The pub would be one good place for those sorts of thing.

Places where you can go to drink/eat are a great thing to have in things like Uru, because there's no place like common eating areas to have conversations. Smile

I like the idea of opening up the Watcher's Sactuary as a pub, it has a lot of potential to be quite a cool place to hang out. They could even put sudoku puzzles up on the big imager for people to play with in there.

How about cards, like real playing cards?

Explorers could pick up a deck of cards from somewhere and keep it in their backpack (inventory)...let’s say we put a create on the DRC rooftop full of decks of playing cards Very Happy

Once you sit down at an applicable table with enough other avitars, open up your inventory, and select the cards, you should get the option to pull out the cards and start a game.

At that point anybody who wants to play and is sitting down at the same table would get a request such as "Would you like to join <avatar name> in a game of <game name>". Once accepted, the game HUD would pop up and you could begin.

You could do the same thing with marbles, dominoes, jacks, Jenga, etc...That could keep me occupied for a while Wink

I like the idea of using the big imager in the Great Tree Pub for games! That thing is awesome. I hope it'll be used effectively!

Very Happy I like the Pub because it's such a good meeting place - you cannot miss someone you have arranged to meet there as there is only one way in and one way out.
