She's there at the end of Myst IV, watching the sunrise with Atrus and Yeesha.

When was this? In my version of Myst 4, the game ends with Atrus making random philosophical statements, and saying that Catherine went with Yeesha to Tay. They don't show up at all...

well, you know Myst is based on journals... and i'd guess that 1-3 are Catherine Journals, 4 maybe by Yeesha or Atrus and 5 by Yeesha.
The mentions of catherine go most likely down as the Drc might have not found anymore journals of catherine and Yeesha most likely doesnt want to talk that much about her mothers death.
So at the end we know how she lived and that she ended up dying some when. As long as Yeesha doesnt want to tell us all details, we wont be able to know.
