sure relto is fine and adding new pages is great, but i feel like relto the way we know it isnt personal enough.

in CC and UU i use all relto pages (except rain) because that way i have a cozy and pretty age instead of a barren island with an old hut.

and im sure many do that too...

i know relto is supposed to mirror myst island, but isnt there a way to make it more personalized? decide for myself the island form i want, decide what kind of hut/house/tower i want decide color of that house, decide what time of the year and day it is. type of trees and whatever.
the current relto pages just seem like upgrades but not personalizations...
everyones gonna add the islands, the dock, the imager, the clock, etc. but what if you can decide what style of dock you have? wood/ stone/ marmor? big/small/round/square/whatever?

intresting idea....

Like, for example, I would have a winter Relto, gives more use for the fireplace. And maybe a stone dock, with a stone house built more sturdy, more winterized.

Another thing we might want to try would be surrounding elements:
I.E. instead of the simple cloudcover surrounding the peak of Relto, have a forest surrounding, or a lake, or a steep cliff, giving way to a beautiful scenic valley. Hell, even a lake of fire (i.e. volcanic) would be a nice enhancement, give a more changed feel. (I'm not saying change Relto into a Hell age, just making a point).

Or a starry sky with falling stars, etc...

Another thing I think might be a fun idea would be to have "keepsakes" from ages, to "store" in your Relto. By this I mean:
Adding Yeesha pages that would take something more ornimental from ages, like say the Counter Device in Ahnonay, being able to have something like that, only a smaller version. Or a Picture frame(s) inside of the hut, with the ability to place KI shots inside. That right there would make Relto more personalized right away.
Right now, all we have like that is the D'ni Clock and Firemarbles, maybe the fireflies and butterflies, but I mean like trophy-style items. Or Design-style items, like the wierd structural design puzzle things in Kadish Tolesa:

yeah i thought it might be mentioned there but i didnt feel like reading all... thought it was more of the "what could we add" thread. COuld you add all good suggestions to the first post, for easy reference?

Those are great ideas! Being able to really choose how your hut is shaped and what it's built with, along with the surroundings, and everything else would make the Reltos quite unique.

Maybe we could be able to attain the differences by "winning" them after a puzzle?

I'm not sure how to explain this, but say you completed Tolesa and find a page to surround the Relto island with the trees instead of just fog. Something like "A new environment has been added to your Relto Building area" could pop up (just like the "A link has been added to your Nexus" message). The same thing could happen for shapes and materials, like "A new hut style has been added to your Relto Building area".

There could be so many styles and environments to choose from, and not all of them could be activated at the same time (like Relto pages can be now), which would make for very interesting Reltos.

Customization ideas abound, but you still can't show anyone... how about being able to invite people into your own Relto for a stroll?

You can currently share your Relto book...you just can't use the Nexus, as there is only one link to your nexus.

A Relto in a Magma area... I've been inspired to draw some concept art.(Hope I spelled that right.) I'll post it here when I'm finished drawing it.

changing time is a good idea, but as we have seen phils relto, night in the relto represents death (or phil already found a night relto page).
i at least want a page to change the skys color... i already was able to change it in offline uru.

what would help would be a way to build relto much like.. say.. a sims house, but that would make it more complicated, so you just should have a bunch of relto pages concerning only one area (maybe a "chapter" in a relto book), depending on which page you have chosen from that "chapter" you will see that.
like you have a chapter where you can choose between islands, forest, magma, mountains, etc. the tree-style of the forest would be chosen in another chapter where you decide what tree kind you have on relto

a little left-field and I may have missed it elsewhere...

the dock I am still a little confused by.

when I first got the page, I thought, "aha! soon vessels will show up, maybe. or I'll get a really cool view from this spot, which is why I would hang out here, or..."

am I missing something with respect to the dock?

The dock currently serves the purpose of making Relto look a little more like Myst. Beyond that there's nothing too remarkable about it other than being another thing to stand on.

I'd like to be able to link onto the dock once I got it. Might make it seem even more like Myst if you linked to the same spot.
