Well, I thought I'd just throw this up there real quick: Mysterium 2006 will be held in Spokane, Washington from Friday July 28th to Sunday July 30th. Since I am that much more of a Myst fan then I've ever been as of now, I thought I'd give a little hint to the things to come:
A year or so, I wrote some lyrics to an Ode to a special Age for me: Er'Cana. Well, the original product ended up in the rubbish pile, due to a lack of finesse, but since then I have rewritten the piece, making it more of an ode to the rest of the series at large, and even began writing music for it. It still requires the finishing touches, but the Mysterium committee has given thier okay for us to perform it at the Presentation night on the Friday. I wanted to make sure we have a copy of it especially for any of the Cyan crew that will be showing up (RAWA, etc...), and can't wait for the fun to begin. We're driving up from Chicago, so the ride'll be an adventure all it's own.

I don't want to give anything more about the song away, but instead would like to ask an general idea of what else is being brought to the table for M-Con 2K6?

That actually works better for us. We were originally going to leave early Wednesday morning, but due to some things beyond our control, we'll have to delay our departure until later that day, possibly even early evening. Plus, we're planning on taking a side-trip to Seattle to visit one of the people who did a remix for us, to buy him a beer, and Friday night would be perfect for us to catch him. While we do love lazer tag, we can't pass up the opportunity to visit one of our favorite musicians... alongside Tim Larkin, of course!

Good for them. I think that works better, since some people are still in transit Friday. I've seen it both ways, and I think Saturday is preferable.

Everyone let us non-participants know where to view logs and photos, for those of us who can't be there. And give Rand and RAWA and all the gang a big (mental) hug and let them know we appreciate them!! Think where we were last September...it's been a good year.

I'll be in Boston...dealing with some tunnels that are somewhat scarier than the Selenitic age, I gather...where is the nara stone when we need it...!

I feel for you. The whole time I lived in Massachusetts my mom kept joking that driving in Boston is roughly equivalent to suicide, and we'd all have a good laugh (partly because I'm a slightly aggressive driver.) Now you start to wonder...

Anyway, we'll take plenty of pictures and describe everything in vivid detail, don't worry.

I'm actually headed to the airport soon for the first leg of my journey, because I'm doing some pre-Mysterium visiting of people in the US. I feel like I should be bringing more work to do, so I'm semi-randomly chucking books in my bag. And it has to stop...
