The first two questions both pertain to the phase starting on December 20 and ending in early 2007 with the actual "launch".
1) Will explorers in the US and Canada that do not currently pay a GameTap subscription fee and are currently testing, i.e. people invited in the closed beta or the Preview, be able to continue to test beyond December 20 up until launch (early 2007) without a fee?

2) Will explorers in the number of non-GameTap countries intended for launch (e.g., Germany) be able to continue to test beyond December 20 up until launch (early 2007), seeing as they cannot currently subscribe to pay a fee to begin with?

3) As I understand it, the main difference with the launch effective to explorers will be the requirement of a subscription fee, regardless of country (both GameTap and non-GameTap). Is this correct? Are there other differences, aside from the overall state of client/server/storyline having "stabilized" by then?
Thank you very much.

- but: people that are not yet in beta will not be able to access the 'open beta' starting from the 20th onwards, unless they live in a GT country (USA and Canada).

I'll let Ron answer the other questions. If you are in Australia, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States you should have access to the Preview.
I will have a sign up page that will allow people to sign up for Preview if they are in one of these countries. The signup will happen early next week.

ok, so if I understand correctly:
- anyone already in the beta right now, will be able to access the 'prologue' like thing that starts on the 20th. This includes international users currently in beta.

- Launch will not be in December, but hopes are high that you will be able to actually launch URU in all countries on that list at more or less the same time.
Correct?

Correct?
Yes, this is also correct. We're hoping and working towards a unified launch, but technical requirements may delay the international component. This is the sort of question that is hard to answer in advance other than to say we'll do everything possible to launch in all countries on the same date.

Yes, this is true - current Beta testers will continue to be involved until launch.
