Feel free to toss in any new ideas.
I was walking around Aegura today, when I noticed that someone was playing some music using the voice feature. The quality was, of course, low, but I thought it was a nice idea. What if we could submit music to a "Radio DRC" that could be continuously accessible from the KI? I know I'd listen. All music, of course, would have to be approved before appearing on the air, and copyright blah-blah-blah would be maintained. It could even be just Myst music, if that's what it took, but what do you folk think?
Yeah, as long as it's a KI feature that's optional. Or it only occurs, like, in a certain part of the Hood. I've heard of people not liking it when others use the Voicechat to force others to listen to their music.
Give us different channels, too, and those Up On The Roof! parties, etc., would have an in-game way of broadcasting their music.
A "I am busy icon" for the KI
I would be a good idea if we could have a "I am busy" icon beside our avatar's name on the KI.
Lately, while I was helping some people with some of the puzzles, specially the Delin door, I was not in
a position to answer an incoming message and a few senders thought I was ignoring them.
First, change the "Owehn is on the surface, back in a minute" text to "Owehn is currently busy and is not accepting KI chat for the moment." The way it is just doesn't make sense: I'm not on the surface, I'm using a telescope/pulling a lever/reading a book!
eliminate "user is online" from the KI

Since the KI is meant to be an IC (In-cavern) device, and not a OOC (out-of cavern/character) videogame menu, why does the KI mention when a user is "online" or "offline?"
The KI is "online" in that it's on. When you leave the game, it's often IC to say you shut off your KI.
KI enhancements (explorer list and chat names)
Make chat lines clickable. Why search for long time to find the person having written a message you want to answer personally to? By clicking on the chat line, or at least on the name on the chat line that person should be selected as single receiver for the next messages, just as when having selected a user on the list

I was thinking it'd be nice if there was an IM-centric way of setting some user information such as a brief biography about one's self as well as, and this is important, one's play style so we can quickly determine who is an RP'er (not me), an IC'er (me), or a regular player (not that there's anything wrong with that).
News In Uru
My personal favourite "DRC meeting" idea ---> add a little ki checkbox, so that when the DRC holds a meeting, we can be a "temporary member" of that hood too, so we can see everything that is said (DRC and attendents) via KI during the meeting, without having to actually be there (just like Neighborhood chat works now)
Give the ability to force name tags to always be shown, preferably through a button on the primary KI interface to make changing between options easy. To clarify, this means that KiDar is completely optional, you can turn it off via the aforementioned button on the KI.
Additionally, players will have the option to make themselves invisible to KiDar to preserve games like Sardines (hide and seek).
The 'GIVE ME A NEW KI!' Thread
After approximately ten seconds of fiddling with the Ki, one word popped into my head: tooltips.
Incoming Message Sound
I would like to have a specific sound for incoming messages on the KI.
I do not alway notice the KI flashing.
Something New! *SPOILERS*
I had the notion of an RSS feed to display new Uru stuff.
