No, it is not a good sign. They are supposedly performing a security update. Since it is taking this long, I'm guessing they don't really know what they need to do to get it secure.

I think they do. The patcher has been updated several times and it seems they are finding more holes than they thought they would find. Otherwise, I don't see a reason for all the new versions.

Getting close to three days now isn't it? Things are definitely not looking bright right now.

They have a few hours before 3 days.

Things often take longer than expected. As an owner of a forum who recently changed from Proboards to Simple Machines, I can definitely say I understand. I expected it to take about an afternoon, or a day at tops, but it took a few days to do a full transition. You run into things that you overlooked before and it just adds up.

I think the longer it's down and the more updates that arise the better. It just means there are more things there that have been fixed, improved, etc. It's really better for us in the long run

They could be looking at my list of fixables! Chogon did say it was a good list... And they could be fixing the Bevin thing while they are at it...

That's very true. This would be an ideal time to do that.

I wish I had submitted a ticket to unstick the fire marbles from my bevin's light garden ...

This update will definitely work! Just like the old problem with XTEA was fixed by switching to Rijndael for Myst5. A complete understanding by knowledgeable people will quickly fix any security problem! *dusts hands*

Anyway, I have to agree here. I know there are some issues in the game, this may be the opportunity Cyan is using for Minkata and other additions. Let's just wait for a little while longer before we jump to further conclusions.

Checking Minkata now.

I think this is a high time for a massive Sardines game.

EDIT: No sparklie

WOO! Massive sardines game right now!

The MO:ULagain service is back online. :)

Note: If any remaining security holes continue to be exploited on the main server, the service may be taken down indefinitely until all the holes can be plugged. That would be a Bad Thing (tm), and would require much longer downtime.

Thanks for your patience and cooperation.

Can anyone tell me why someone would exploit the security of the server, or try too.
