Well, turns out it's CAVCON 4.2 after all. That's better.

Where'd you get that from? 4.2 was the figure for September - 2.8 is still the provisional figure for October, at the top of the first post, as far as I can see.

Ah, good! The final figure for October resolved itself to a more respectable 3.0, and an in-progress 2.7 before we get half-way through November is encouraging :)

I think that was a reaction to last week's 2.4. Still, 70% in two weeks is fantastic.

Keeping with the positive vibe, at the current rate MOULa is expected to crack 100K accounts in approximately three weeks. This is due to a sudden trend in the rate of new accounts reaching a miniature peak; two weeks ago the rate of new accounts hit its second lowest projection of 347, second only due to a brief crash found in the report of 21/12/2011. Back then the number was 97,792; at the rate it was going - experiencing a recent slowing down of new accounts, if MOULa were to ever reach the target it would have done so six weeks and two days to the date - which would be four weeks and two days now. Since then a rather sudden climb in the rate of new accounts has occurred, lifting the rate to levels not seen since early September.
It is expected that MOULa will achieve 100,000 accounts in two weeks and six days, the following day when the report is due, if the rate stabilizes for the three week period is expected to hit around 100,050.

But of course, 100k accounts, as a number, is somewhat meaningless if 1/3 or so of those accounts are spambots.

Still, you're right that there's been a modest uptick lately. Maybe a result of optimism building the past few weeks regarding potential for fan content?

People may be more inclined to donate and invite friends to play, if they think MOULa has a bright future ahead.

This, BTW, poses a challenge for myself and others working on fan ages... I've slacked off a bit the last 3-4 days and made little progress on Sevkor... I need to try harder to push forward on that, while also doing an adequate job on other tasks (i.e. preparations for Thanksgiving, freelance work, etc.)

I will be busy!

But everyone in the fanbase who is doing anything to move MOUL/Uru forward, whether it is creating new ages, finding and fixing bugs, or whatever else, is doing so by freely giving their time and skills. Things will take as long they take, and while I understand that some people might be getting a bit impatient to see fan content in MOULa, really no-one should criticize or complain about the speed. It's only because people like you are prepared to put in some work (when you could probably be doing something else instead) that things are progressing at all :) .

Ok, now hold on. Am I right in reading this to mean that we're already at CAVCON 2.7 for the month of November?

(And if so, might we get into 4 this month? :D Just a little?)

We hit 100,000 a little earlier than anticipated: sometime yesterday (Nov. 19, 2012), ending the day at 100,035. Yay!

Yes, many of them have never logged in, but it's a nice milestone, nonetheless.

Bwhaaaaaaat?!?! How in the ages did that happen?! How did two weeks just disappear?
/me checks his watch
I must have time traveled! It's the only logical explanation!
:P Kidding, of course.

[EDIT] Actually I have to retract my joke as well as amend the earlier statement, for I had made a terrible error I really should have spotted beforehand; essentially that the full report RAWA issues every week on the second post go BACK two weeks, the full reports were the basis of original claim and is the current basis of the calculations.
When I go home I'll fix my own table and re-calculate my trends to accommodate the fact that total account reports are one week behind the current date and full reports are two weeks behind the current date. With this in mind, the original claim of hitting 100K, originally waiting another two weeks, is actually on target instead of being early.

"William Tell of course himself a bit of a rebel. You know, was he a Swiss nationalist, or a nutter with a crossbow?" - Bill Bailey, Bill Bailey's Remarkable Guide to the Orchestra

I was looking for just the overture, but I suppose some context is a good idea.

Moula just told me donations are at 2.9, and there's still a week of November left!
