I've just tryed the MakerEditor to /download a maker game, and I have a question about its file.

For some markers, the "text:" line contains (example): text: bla bla bla
But for some other markers, it contains (example): text: 'bla bla bla'

So, my question is:
While editing this file, should I put a simple quotemark at the begining and at the end of each marker's text, or should I remove those simple quotemarks?

If there are already quotation marks, leave them there. Quotation marks are used when the text is split over multiple lines, for example, or when it contains special characters. If you want a consistent style, though, you can always add quotation marks; just remember to escape any quotation marks in the text by prepending \ (e.g. "This isn't correct." becomes "'This isn\'t correct.'").

I can't /upload the edited file.

If I try "/upload filename" I have a "Could not open file".
If I try "/upload filename.txt" I have a net5 error.

I tryed both "with" and "without" (I sent a copy of it to anothe avvie) having the original game in my KI, but same results.

Or should I send "/upload Games/filename"?

The Net5 error is quite probably unrelated to the Marker Editor. The correct way to upload a file is to place it in your Games folder (e.g. Games\File.txt), then type /upload File.txt.

ok, so "/upload filename.txt".
But do we have to remove the original game from our KI before, or not?

If the original game is still in your KI and you haven't removed the GUID from your edited file, uploading it will replace your original game. If you want to upload it as a new game, remove the GUID line.

Ok, so no need to remove it...

Then, I'm stuck.
Because the net5.

What should I do?

Or... There's a simple quotationmark in the game name. Should I escape it?
Edit: I tryed to escape the simple quotationmark in the game name (name: 'Blabla\'s blabla'), but net5 again while I upload it.

The command is not sent while I push "Enter" (like when I /loadcolumns) and I have the net5 error (no net5 error with /loadcolumns).

Could you include the file you are trying to upload in your next post in spoiler tags?

Just an example, with the caracters that are in it:

Games\FileName.0.txt:
Code:
creator: manloc
guid: ********-****-****-****-************
markers:
-   age: Aaaaaaaaaa
    coords: [-1.1, 1.1, -1.1]
text: '1) Aa, aa: aa, aa = AA, aa a\'aa (1).'
-   age: Aaaaaaaaaa
    coords: [-1.1, 1.1, -1.1]
text: '1) Aaa, aaa: aaa, aaa = AAA, aaa a\'aaa (1).'
name: manloc's Game Name

guid: * to hide letters and numbers
A: uppercase
a: lowercase
1: number
Other caracters used:
(
)
,
:
=
\'
.

The original downloaded game have no simple quotationmarks at the begining and at the end of the "name:" line, but there is one at the middle of it: manloc's Game Name
I tryed both like this and: 'manloc\'s Game Name'
But same result.

If you're absolutely sure the GUID hasn't been modified, then I don't know why this is happening. Have you tried uploading it unmodified ?

For now, I have net6 while enter the game.

I have plenty of experience using the Marker Editor, and I can tell you that the reason it won't let you upload a file is because you've changed something and it isn't in the format it likes, that is you have missed off as little as one character. It could even be the character is there, but you have an extra space in the wrong place.

The only way you will resolve this is to go over it with a very fine tooth comb.
I hope you kept the original. I found it best to change one thing, normally editing one marker at a time, then saving and trying to upload it, just to check. If it uploaded, great, if not, I knew where to look.

I've /download the file again, and then /upload it ; it works.
I tryed to edit "normal text" markers, it works.

I also tryed that:

Before:
Code:
text: manloc's Game Name Marker

After:
Code:
text: 'manloc\'s Game Name Marker'

And then, net5 error while /upload.
It seems the MarkerEditor, or MO:ULa, don't like the " \' ".

Edit:
I tryed with the other markers ; it's ok.
So, we can put a simple quotationmark at the begining and at the end of the "text:" for all markers until there's no other simple quotationmarks in the text itself:

text: 'bla bla bla' = ok
text: 'don't bla bla' = NOT ok
text: 'don\'t bla bla' = NOT ok
text: don't bla bla = ok

It seems like it's not escaping the ' properly. For all single-line text, remove the surrounding single quotes. For multiple-line text, try surrounding it with " instead.
