There is no value in such numbers.

Not exactly true regarding the D'ni number system, but hey, it's something!
Also maybe Cyan didn't think correctly... heh heh!

I think Rawa would have caught an error like that.

Well, they let something pass in Riven.
[Reveal] Spoiler: What?
"In Gehn we trust" untranslated and literally written in D'ni.

[Reveal] Spoiler: Where?
Map Island, golden elevator.

Hey, double spoiler tags don't work. :(

I think that item fits with the story of Riven.

I repeat: untranslated. That means the english sentence as-is in D'ni letters. It was supposed to be a placeholder, but slipped through.

What about the symbol on the stained glass located in the middle of the two curved staircases? You see it best from the top floor but there is also a separate one lower down towards the lower floor. It's a rather strange looking shape.

I assume you mean this: http://www.flickr.com/photos/talldarkmystere/5556951497. As far as I know, it’s supposed to be a rendition of Kadish’s name, much like Yeesha’s seal we see in many places, only more stylized. I’m having trouble making out some of the letters though…

Maybe it's just a clue for an unincluded puzzle. Really hard to make out anything in it though.
Something that also caught my interest is the stained glass at the far back.
[Reveal] Spoiler: Kadish Tolesa Spoiler
I assume it represents the vault.

I noticed some boxes on the metal bars holding the stained glass, maybe these have a significance... And the glass itself obviously ;) But I don't remember it off the top of my head at the moment.

I could see it being a cartouche, though interpreting it is beyond me. If we approach it as Kadish, the d and sh shapes seem readily recognisable, though they're lacking the necessary accents, turning them into th and s. And then that fishhook down the middle won't cooperate with anything.

FYI, I added something about the starry sky ceiling to the first post.

I have an entry regarding the Riven gold elevator mistake on my Riven Illuminated site. It's on the mistakes page at http://mystarchive.com/rivenil/mistakes.html

The direct quite from RAWA re: this is "I'm guessing that the artist who built this just used the English as a placeholder while waiting for me to give them the D'ni translation, then when they got the phrase, they used it in the schoolroom and forgot about the placeholder on the elevator."

That site is probably where I have read it there in the first place ;)

That's what we are all trying to find out.
Maybe Kadish was the 19th guild master or something.
