This indicates a problem with DirectX; try downloading the latest version: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=35

Installation is very simple:

1. Download UruSkydiving.exe from the provided link.
2. Copy it to your Uru Live folder (usually C:\Program Files\Uru Live).
3. Download libeay32.dll and copy it to your Uru Live folder.
4. And whenever you want to run Uru with the old physics, just run UruSkydiving.exe instead of UruExplorer.exe or UruLauncher.exe!

Hey, thanks for this but how am I doing this on my MAC? just putting in what folders?

i am trying what I think works but... maybe screaming later.

OK,
I have done what you said... nothing is broken... but still no jumps.
I see the 3 .exe files
Uruexplorer
urulauncher
uruskydiving
to run one or the other would it work if i just remove the one I do not want from the folder, to another safe place :)
YOu know us MAC users, we dont usually fiddle with the way stuff runs, well I don't.

One question about libeay32.dll. I successfully downloaded and installed skydiving client, happy how it works only, very unhappy about libeay32.dll application that pops up all the time asking me to fix something on my computer and when I try to do that it tells me that I have to buy a full version of it. If that is a cost of having skydiving client I am prepared to pay it but not sure it should be that way. I have a feeling that something went wrong. Please advise.

looks for me like you downloaded the "dll files fixer"-program instead of the zip-file. You don't need that one, just get the zip-file and unzip the library into your SD-client folder

No, do not remove any file. Just launch UruSkydiving.exe like you would launch UruLauncher.exe or UruExplorer.exe. If you aren't experiencing any jumps, it's probably because you aren't launching UruSkydiving.exe.

You always have to be on your guard when you enter that type of website with a lot of "download" boxes. There's always ONE good button and a LOT of "hoax" buttons around...

The 1st thing you need to do is to get rid of that "DLL-fixer". This is a "hoax app" like I call them. They don't do what they promise... The devs behind them are not there to help you they are there to pump money out of you telling your system is unstable...yeah right!!! .

Then, the 2nd thing to do, is to use the small little download button under the big attracting button which is the good one. The devs of DLL-Fixer know that except they don't want you to know it...

3rd thing: It will be a zip file. Unzip it and copy the file Libeay32.dll directly inside the URU Live installation whereever you put it in the first place.

I telling more info just to prevent you or others from these scam sites, they abound over the net.

@ Lyrositor: you should change the reference link of the Libeay32.dll from the "DLL-Fixer" main page to the direct download page of the "Libeay32.zip file".

:D

That isn't possible. All links provided on DLL-files.com expire after one use; if I provided a link, it would only work until somebody clicked on it once.

Not to mention that you should usually never download from DLL-files.com either; you shouldn't be missing libeay32.dll, normally. This is a simple fix, which does not solve a larger problem.

YOu know us MAC users, we dont usually fiddle with the way stuff runs, well I don't.

That alone doesn’t work because the wrapper is hardcoded to launch UruExplorer.exe (to be exact, UruLauncher.exe, which in turn starts UruExplorer.exe) and it doesn’t care about any additional files you just place there. You also can’t just rename UruSkydiving.exe to UruExplorer.exe, because then the updater notices that it’s different and replaces it with the original UruExplorer.exe again.

I’ve just had success with the following procedure:

  1. Put UruSkydiving.exe and libeay32.dll into MOULagain.app/Contents/Resources/Myst Online.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/Uru Live/, as you already did, same as you would on Windows
  2. Open MOULagain.app/Contents/Resources/Myst Online.app/Contents/info.plist using TextEdit, find the line near the bottom that says
    Code:
       <string>C:\Program Files\Uru Live\UruLauncher.exe</string>
    and replace it by
    Code:
       <string>C:\Program Files\Uru Live\UruSkydiving.exe</string>

Do this on a copy of your MOULagain application, so you have a backup if anything goes wrong, and you don’t have to reverse everything when you want to play with the standard client. If these instructions are too terse, please ask and I’ll expand.

By the way, as the labeling on your Mac says, it’s Mac, not MAC – short for Macintosh, whereas MAC means Media Access Control, which is something completely different. Sorry, I can’t help it. No harm done, it just irritates me when people get it wrong. :)

Sorry, but I have to disagree with this.
expired link removed - Alien
I clicked on this link four times and each time I downloaded it to a different location.
Then just to check I asked a friend to click on the same link and download it ... and he could.

How did I get this link? I went to the DLL-Files.com page and right-clicked on the link and copied the link URL, then posted it here (after testing with preview and asking a friend to download it)

So you can post a download link others can use.
Don't take my word for it, click on the link yourself and test if you can also download the file.

Nope, expired now ;) Probably only works for a minute or so.
