Shorah my friends!!

It is a bug of Teledahn in the URU Complete Chronicles.
(This bug does not happen in MOULa)

I leave a game for several days (or several months) without playing a game for a while after having finished Age event of Teledahn.
A funny mysterious bug is taking place when I visit Teledahn again after having passed for a while.

Power of Teledahn becomes intermittent.

Power and a shaft work and stop.
The lamp of the elevator and the light of the control room are turned on and turned off.
The bucket-shaped gondola goes and stops.

This phenomenon is caused even in Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1.
And this phenomenon is caused even for a Package version and Steam version happens.

This phenomenon finishes Teledahn and does not take place immediately.
I do not know why such a bug happens. :?
Is there the person that a phenomenon same as me is taking place?

Thanks,
Chiro

Hi Chiro, yes, this seems to be a common problem that many have encountered (according to google). I found posts about it on the UbiSoft forum and MYSTcommunity Forum from 2006; there are even two videos by Ainia on it.

I'm not sure if it's a bug or intentional; it makes sense that the telescope could lose alignment over time.

[Reveal] Spoiler:
I had the same bug a few weeks ago. Deleting the Teledahn book and replaying Teledahn did work for me. But first I made certain that the last cloth touched was after the prison. I was easier the lower the catwalk at the back side.

I have an external HD and now on, I will make Uru CC saves at the end of each ages. They say it you cannot save this but I have tested it and so far everything is ok. I have to delete the present "save folder" in my Uru cc folder and replace it with my own save folder.

Wooooooooooooooooooooow, Tai'lahr~~~!! :D :D :D
You saved me again!! Thank you very much!!

This was a question of my long long long time.
I read the post of these forums, and it was able to be understood very well. :D
I felt refreshed very much.

Because this bug is very interesting, rather I want to keep it intact without revising this.

Thank you very much!!
Chiro

Shorah Chiro,

I am convinced that this "bug" is intentional. If you look around Teledahn carefully, you will see that everything which uses power from the tower also works intermittently. For instance, the elevator will work only if you touch the button at the right time (when the power is intermittently on).

IIRC, I have seen this in online and offline Uru. I filmed this and a number of other interesting Teledahn phenomena a while back and uploaded the clips to my YT channel here.

I have never figured out why this behavior starts, but so far as I can tell, once it does, it does not stop on its own. My favorite theory is that it is connected to a part of the Age that was never released to us by the DRC, perhaps to do with the broken screw or something we cannot see in the huge hidden valley on the nearby island.

This might be better discussed in the spoiler section, but in this case i do it anyway.
You only have "intermittend" power if you did not solve a certain puzzle.
Or more correctly, if you have partly solved a certain puzzle but not completely.

Shorah.

We knows Shroomie don't like much big sounds, as the machinery sounds. Sharper's jounal
As Ainia said, we can still use electric things when there is intermitent power by using them at the right time.
I think more about the dam than something else :
With intermitent power, we can close the dam witout scary Shroomie too much... In theory.
But again, as Ainia said, it's probably connected to something that was never released to us by the DRC.
Like Ainia I think about the broken screw and the nearby island.

/me would like to catch Shroomie in the lagoon and to jump on her back for her to bring me to the nearby island...

Also, feel free to use any idea from this folder for MO:UL (currently 1 idea).

Shorah, I now this a old thread but I have the solution to this Bug,

[Reveal] Spoiler:
This Bug is called the 'Invisible Sun' Bug,
This same bug was present on UU also.
What you need to do is Realign & calibrate the Telescope viewer,
go very slowly until you hear the power kick on again, an stay on!
(this can be very tricky and time consuming to do)
because in most cases you will need to align the viewer to the
Invisible Sun which is what looks like a sun dog almost opposite
to the real sun in the world. The bug happens because
Sun slowly gets out of sync with the Telescope Viewer over time.

Hope this was of help. VZ

.
Uru CC: Teledahn Power Glich

[Reveal] Spoiler:
I am sorry but I have to report that VoiZod fix did not work me on a spare avatar that did have the same problem.
After deleting the Teledahn book I replayed the age, including the bucket ride, and everything is ok now.

The steps I tried:
1- I set the turning "sun" at the proper height,
2- I waited on the same spot for it to make a few turns...no go
3- I tried to slowly get ahead of the sun for a few turns...no go
4- I tried to slowly move backward for few turns... no go

I remember a glitch from Teledahn that appeared after installing the Path of the Shell over Ages Beyond Myst and returning to Teledahn after Path of the Shell first came out. I don't know if this is the same one but the hot spot was about an inch to the right or left of the sun
