I'm *HOPING* the judges will realize that the cool-looking shadow, reflection, and backdrop stuff some people have been adding won't be part of the finished product, so they'll ignore it. :wink:

Oh no

That's just the copy I made to display. I sent the DRC a high quality 1024x1024 72 dpi JPEG with the glass on a pure white background.

Perhaps, but my point is more about the aesthetics and general feel of the work, rather than the IC plausibility of using a "modern" style as you put it. A 3-point perspective stained-glass mural just doesn't look appropriate to me, you know what I mean? But of course that's only my opinion, in Uru anything can be anything, really... and the work people have done with that method still looks fantastic, despite my reservations on the style.

I must say, I am amazed by the quality of these submissions. They are all superb, if I had more time on my hands I'd make my own, but really, the ones I've seen here are top-notch.

OOhh, I like that one. Stylistically, it somewhat matches the existing Gahreesen stained-glass window, which is good, because it will help create some consistency to the eye. Lovely work!

That's really beautiful and unique! May I offer a suggestion? To me it looks more like mosaic tile than stained glass because of the way it is lit. Rather than looking translucent the panes appear to be opaque, with a light source above and behind the piece. For a transparent look with a light source behind, you'll want the panes to be brighter in the center than they are at the edges.

I have to say yours is my favorite so far. But I confess I preferred your earlier, darker, more gritty coloring (above). It made it look more ancient and more mysterious somehow. Of course that's just my own personal view.
