This is my first time playing any online games and my first time playing Myst.
I have to confess, I'm not too good at figuring out the puzzles. I love exploring the different areas. This is a beautiful game. I'm finished with the desert cleft and starting on my first world. Wishe me luck (I need it).

Good Luck!

And don't be afraid of asking for someone to chat and follow you along your journey! 8)

Welcome to the world of Uru... Just remember, if you get really stuck, you can always ask some one for help from just subtle hints to how to do it...

Also, don't give up too easily. There's usually a hint to the solution somewhere in the ages..

If you finished the Cleft on your own, you're not as bad at puzzles as you think. :)

Zandi is a close-mouthed son of a bahro who has never given me a straight answer in all the years since I've met him. :)

(He never seems to finish a book, either. But that's a personal problem.)

Thanx guys. :D
I was happy for Zandi's help. Still it took me two days and hours of play to get through. It didn't help that I missed the most obvious journey cloth. :P
I swear I saw my avatar sweating. I don't know if any of you are like me, but whenever I have to hurry, I kind of panic. I've got my avatar going backwards, bumping into things or going left when she needs to go right.

He has a line of dialog about that. I've never heard him say it in the game, but you can find it pretty easily in the sound files.

Really Glad you are enjoying it 3Dog. Its nice to see a player who is really just trying to experience URU instead of using a walkthrough and burning through it in a few hours. The first time I played URU it took me forever, im kinda slow sometimes, but it was totally worth the journey. Happy Exploring.

If you were sweating in the cleft, just wait until you see the depths and the heights of what is to come. Have fun!

You mentioned being in a hurry. My father started playing Uru because he felt there should be no hurry when you're trying to relax. He became part of the in-game staff and helped others. His favorite quote was " slow down cuz, you're gonna find the answer. Then you start all over again."
He's gone now but I play Uru Online with his philosophy in mind. There's no hurry. You can go through an age a hundred times if you want. The world is in a rush all the time. Step into Uru Online and take a breather. Nobody's going to tell you to hurry up. Relax. Enjoy. And feel secure that help and assistance are just a few mouse clicks away.

I think your father is right Chief1! There's no hurry!

Enjoy!
