Hmm, I was expecting there might be some mention that even without shadows, you can still discern North. :)

Your clothes will be darker when facing south, lighter when facing north (because the sun illuminates you from behind).

Nice job, BrettM! Thanks so much for a most excellent visual solution. Haven't found the soccer ball yet, but it'll still be there when I try again. BTW, can anybody tell me what's the significance of Flag 3125? :?

Same as the other numbered flags: it's at distance 3125 from the origin.

Indeed. The further away the flag is, the more accurate the timing method

Thank you BrettM, I'll admit I've been struggling a little
with this one :)
Your visuals are very much appreciated.

I'm just starting Minkata. How in the world does someone figure out where to run to, and from where to start running from?
There are a lot of numbers in the book in the Library but the only one that matches a flag in Minkata doesn't yield any seemingly useful information.
Are you people all MENSA members?

The origin / start point is the centre of the compass rose on top of the structure (Bonehenge as it's become known! :D)

As RR pointed out, the compass rose is your starting point. Don't take my Visual Guide as being any sort of clue to the proper way to solve the puzzle. These shortcuts were all worked out after the routes had been solved through the clues in the journal. Noble Robot's map in the other thread gives the full explanation if you really get stuck.

I failed the test for DENSA.

I'm really stuck with no idea what to do in this age. I've been reading all the hints/cheats I find and I still am stuck. Where are the blue pages or the journey cloths? LOL

One aid I read said to....
....start on top of the hut, then go down into one of the tunnels from there. How do I get on top of the hut?
Perhaps the proper etiquette would be for me to start a new thread. Sorry for the hijack.

Thanks for any help.
