The Kadish gallery has at least two purposes. Around the top of the stairs is the combination for Ahnonay that is also in the Cathedral. This makes me wonder if there will be other uses for the Kadish Gallery as time goes on.

Makes me wonder why that area was even created, and the Gallery wasn't just opened up in PoTS.

Maybe the Gallery was originally intended both as an access to Tolesa and as a hub for the Ahnonays, and the "Cathedral" was only added later (during the making of PotS) in order to make less confusion between ABM and the expansion?

OOCly, Morningstar is probably correct. If it was intended in Live, the doors between the gallery and the strip mall outside were no doubt operational, allowing one to access the Age book within.

ICly though, I do recall that the Kadish gallery was a place where art was sold, and required extensive cleanup by the DRC to get to the state we see it in today.

EDIT: Off the DRC site...

Quote:
Started by Guild Master Kadish (Guild of Writers), the store was opened after his dismissal from the Guild of Writers. The store carried a number of outsider art pieces.

---

The Kadish store is a mix-match of artifacts collected from both D’ni artisans as well as outsider artisans before the Fall. Though the store has been in dis-repair for hundreds of years the DRC cleaned it up a bit before opening it. As a result, most of its artifacts are clearly visible and presentable for perusing.

Wait, what's this Cathedral area everyone's talking about? I thought there was just the main gallery with the book and the two stairs.

It's in Path of the Shell. It's not in the Gallery. It's related to Ahnonay.

And I say no more for fear of spoilers. ;)'

I believe people are saying that the Gallery (if Live had contimued) would have taken the place of the Cathedral (the place with the gear floors and the water running down the sides with the big paintings on either side and the Ahnonay book) we saw in Path of the Shell. There's more to the Cathedral, but... spoilers :P

As far as the Gallery goes...all those small paintings, yet only one counted.

I'm fond of those icons & the Bahro pictograms. They're done tastefully. They look realistic & believable.
