I am so directionally challenged. I have found 14 out of 15 green markers. No red. That doesn't bother me. Not knowing the physical appearances of the places I need to find in order to find the markers is driving me completely BATTY!

Like, for example, the MUSEUM? THE CONCERT HALL? I know where the art gallery is, and I can get around via the Nexus to the Dock, The Palace Alcove and , ah heck, what's the name of the first place? That first place, I can get there too.

I solved Uru for the very first time in November, when I got my MacBook and was finally able to play it, so please forgive the lack of proper D'ni landmark nomenclature.

In the immortal words of Dr. Evil, could someone please "throw me a friggin' bone here"?

Thank you :D

There is also a map at the top of the big staircase in Ae'gura (the city), near the tent.

Thank you very, very much. I'm not great with maps, but I will pour over this one and walk very, very slowly.

Stunning map! Perhaps a cartographer could explain to me why the Hall of Kings (17) is represented as having paths leading in and out at right angles, when it seems we have doors on opposite sides of the circle. I walk in one door, cross the center of the floor, and go straight out the opposite door, but that is not how it looks on the map (to me).
Thanks!

I'm not a cartographer (I know nothing about heart surgery...) but immediately upon exiting the Hall of Kings from on the far side you do have to make a 90 degree right turn. It's not evident that's how it works on the map though.

You can find a bunch of very good maps from the site of the Guild of Cartographers

The map does have its slight inaccuracies, but it has proven very helpful.

We heard from Futo on the UO forums a couple of months ago. I believe he's been having some health problems, and I don't think he will be rejoining the community. :( A very great loss to us.

I'm very sorry to hear that. His maps are a true joy to see & study.

Please give him my best wishes & tell him of the joy his maps are.

Please wish him well for me as well. I only recently came across his works and found them to be very beautiful.

Although I never knew Patrick I know his maps well, as the city map is currently on my bedroom wall. (it is in the center of all my maps) I very much hope he gets better and also I hope to see more of his fabulous maps in the future.

Get better soon Patrick! :D !
