It's easy. Any number greater than 12, subtract 12 and put PM after it.

No, 00:05 equals 5 minutes after midnight.

You're right about your "minus 12, add PM" rule, but "12" is not a number greater than "12" So 12:05hrs equals 12:05 PM.

Wrong. 12:05 is greater than 12
When using a 24 hour clock 12:05 is 5 minutes after Noon.
Yes, 00:05 is 5 minutes after Midnight "When Using A 24 Hour Clock"
When somebody using a 24 hour clock tell you it is 12:05, that is 5 minutes after Noon.

We are talking about the result after the calculation, not the time stated.

Does the Time Zone matter?
Just kidding.

Wait!
I think I've done it wrong, thought it out wrong, but now maybe ya'll have helped me get this straight:
If the next time for Tetsonot, for me, is 21:05 UTC-4 and my time is from UTC is -5, then I need to ADD an hour, right? So 21:05 minus 4 would be 17:05, which would be 5:05 PM, my time; but I am UTC -5, so then the portal time would be 6:05 PM. Right?
Can someone let me know soon? The sound of dripping water is killing my bladder and the constant sound of whistling and the banging of things opening and shutting is starting to drive me crazy! Plus the creaking sound, as though the pod will go rolling down a hill or crevice or into heck itself, is creeping me out!

Lule; Where are you getting the 21:05 from?
Look at your KI. From the calculator, I have the next portal at
19:05 KI time to day 4/23

Are the Portal Calculator's times, whether for Local Time or UTC, for my KI or do they go along with my computer's clock?

Now I am REALLY confused!

Ok
Look at your KI. Whats the difference?
That portal calculator shows your local time( Your computer clock ). Compare your current local time to the cuurent KI time. Work it out.
What is your current local time and current KI time?

Since you've got Local Time selected, Lule, it should be the time it says (eg by your pc system clock at bottom right of your screen).

My KI is off by a minute, behind a minute.

But my clock says 4:31 PM
My KI says 14:30
That is a difference of 1 hour and 1 minute.
Right?

Right?

So your local time( computer is 2 hours AHEAD of the KI ) +/- 10 minutes.

So to be there at 21:05 your time.
Be there at 19:05 KI time. Fudge by at least 1/2 hour. You should get it.

My clock now says 4:34 PM
My KI reads 14:32 [eek! it's slipping minutes behind! I really am sinking!]

Why is my computer 2 hours ahead of the KI?
The difference between EDT and MDT?
Did I answer my own question?

After converting 14:32 KI time is 2:32PM
Your local time is 4:34PM
Your 2 hours ahead of KI give or take some minutes.
