Is there any way to invite someone to my Relto to join a hood if we can't be online at the same time?

Try opening your KI, click on the middle symbol (right of the keyboard looking symbol) this will open up a list of players. Go through the list to find the person you want to invite and click on them. Their name will appear in the area above the 3 symbols (can't remember what they're called). Now look and see the arrows pointing at your list of ages...clicking on Relto "should" send an invite to your friend. I've been tinkering with this, and sometimes I get it right...other times, well, not so lucky;) Also, I think the invite appears in the Nexus.

To get someone into your relto, you actually have to present them with the book. You can invite someone into one of your other Ages through a nexus invite by finding the person somewhere in your KI's large menu of players, selecting that player, and then finding the "Visitors" section for the Age you want to invite them to. Then selecting the blue triangle pointing from the player to the "Visitors" category will send that person an invitation to your Age via the Nexus. This will also work, I am told, for sending invitations to private hoods. However, I think the only way to join a hood is to use a linking book to it in someone's bookshelf.

(sigh)

Guess I'll need to find someone who's willing to create a new avatar to join the hood to help the other avie join.

Thanks anyway.

Is it a small hood? Otherwise, someone else from your hood might be able to join your friend.

Yes, it only has one member.

What I did was create an avie called "Guild of Artisans" to start that hood up, but now I need someone to join, so my real avie can join the hood.

Oh - you and your friend are the same person, different avatar! No wonder you couldn't be online at the same time. Hopefully, the naming bug will be fixed soon and we won't need to resort to this avatar-hopping to get custom 'hood names.

In the meantime, you can send an invite to your hood for your second avie. That way you can still go there with your other avie. I've done that before. It just won't automatically make that avie a member of the hood without first deleting their hood book and going through the hood member's relto to join the new hood.

I wish they would allow us to send invitations to our relto like we do to other ages. I would make life so much simpler.

Invitations would make it easier for several things. The workaround is still pretty easy, Lyssa. I've done it a few times and it only takes a few minutes. You just arrange to meet a friend in any location after they've deleted their 'hood book. Then you send them to your Relto and they join the 'hood. They stand by while you log out and log in with your other avatar. You delete your 'hood book, meet your friend, share their Relto and come back. You're done. Then you can delete your 'hood creation avvie.

Firefly helped me by joining the hood and then getting my other avie in. It took a while as the hood change wouldn't work the first two or three times we tried to get Firefly in, but it finally took.

Thanks very much Firefly!!!!!

I had a dream last night that I got to my Relto and found a bunch of people there already. Then I thought "Oh no! I forgot to remove them from my Relto Visitors list!" In Uru for real, though, you can keep people from recurringly linking into your private Ages, right?

No, your invitation puts a link to yourt age in their private nexus. They have to delete it themselves.
