Hi Guys,

I'm beginning to get a little nervous since I haven't received the said 'transition' letter from Gametap, providing the instructions on how to change my free open Beta account to a new paid Gametap account.

I've talked to Gametap several times over the past month and none of them seem to know anything about this transition...few about Beta. In fact the last one told me Beta was being shut off on the 18th and not the 15th. Very frustrating.

Greydragon originally said that the instructions would be posted in any event, correct? If not, would it be possible for someone to PM me with them. Again, Gametap sounded like they didn't know how to do it from their end. :shock:

Sorry to sound panic'd, but I don't want to lose my Beta progress.

Not a bad queston at all, Mar ... yes i did ... when I log into Gametap it does still show as a Beta account. For those who have already completed the transition, does it still show as a Beta Account?

thanks guys... I am PM greydragon. Can either of you tell me what type of account Gametap now shows since you've made the transition, in other words does it reflect now as a paid account? thx

I chose the special 99c for the first month but my account is still listed as GameTap Beta Offer ... I've emailed GameTap support (I would of thought it would be an immediate change) but am waiting to hear back from them.

Your account will change when your beta time expires (presumably the 15thish, but mine says I'll be billed starting the 20th). As far as I understand it, there is little feedback as to whether it all worked, but if in Gametap it has all your billing info you should be good.

I should, however, note that this is pure conjecture, and I have no basis for reason more concrete than my own experience in the transition

It will be interesting to see if others who have done the transition will show the same. The last Gametap person I spoke with implied that the new account status wouldn't show until Launch ... when the transition is made ... but then, of couse this fellow said launch was the 18th and not the 15th, so who knows.

Just wanted to let others know that I received and email from the URU LIVE TEAM saying that the transition email was not sent to me, because they show the transition already completed. Evidently ... and this is what the gametap folks had originally said....the plan will reflect at Beta Live from their Account Screen until the transition. If others know differently, then it would be interesting to know.

I just upgraded my account from the beta to the gametap annual account. When I was completing the forms it said my billing would start on 2/19. So I guess the 18th is the cut over from beta to gametap.
